Re: *meh* experience with old school PC 7424

I’m surprised you got any rotation at that speed
  3. Re: New to detailing...Chrome/plastic chrome advice

No to the cleaner wax to chrome and something like TW Seal and Shine is effective for your needs. Best results will come after the rubber trim is cleaned

  5. Re: Degreaser on paint, and Wolfgang issues on another car.

How did the water get on the paint if it was garaged? What pad did you use with the Megs Compound? What machine are you using?
  6. Re: Degreaser on paint, and Wolfgang issues on another car.

Speed isn’t a compound, it’s a all in one which means it’s a light polish that contains a sealant. Sometimes when you stack sealants on top of sealants you can get irregular results
  7. Re: Degreaser on paint, and Wolfgang issues on another car.

As for the degreaser I’d just reapply, most likely still there but is probably diminished.
As for the spots that’s typical of letting water dry on the car, sealant, coating or wax are all prone to...
  8. Re: Question for those that have used all of the machines...

Forced rotation for me, less passes and just more efficient. I have a bunch of polishers but if I had to pick one and only one it would be the Beast

I don’t think it is if it’s important to you. Real chrome or the plastic chrome cladding?

Re: DG AquaWax as drying aid for ceramic coating

Whoa there waving flags in these times is brave! As soon as the lackluster GlossCoat wears off I’m going back to Lt. Bobs method. My own personal vehicles I see the benefits of the coatings but I...

Re: Letís talk about polishing rims?

It’s really no different than working on cc paint if the wheels are clear coated just on a smaller scale. Need to pay attention to edges and watch the backing plate hitting the rim. I have the Rupes...

Re: DG AquaWax as drying aid for ceramic coating

I’ve used it for my moms car bimonthly, her car was coated with Gloss Coat. I’ve found it rejuvenated and maintains the GC very well, GC had been a big let down to me compared to CQUK and CSL in...

  19. Re: What did I do wrong Meguiarís hybrid ceramic liquid wax?

Are you using bug tar removal every wash? This product will degrade an existing sealant/wax, also these type of products don’t easily rinse off so this can be a reason for the sealant not bonding
