  1. Re: Polish Angel Cosmic V2 Coating - New BMW X5

So over the weekend I did my first wash since applying the coating. The first thing I noticed is how non-slick it is compared to a wax or sealant. It almost makes you question whether anything's...

Re: New Dodge Ram, one pad, one product.

I'm not a huge truck guy but that is gorgeous in every way possible: the design, wheels, paint color, and the detail job.
  3. Re: Polish Angel Cosmic V2 Coating - New BMW X5

^ thanks. The palm tree reflection shots on your hood are great. Funny, while doing the work I was thinking about getting a smaller backing place for the PC to get into tight areas now that I have...
  4. Re: Polish Angel Cosmic V2 Coating - New BMW X5

Thanks for the reply, Tony! I looked at the Polish Angel website for precise instructions and 2hrs between coats was their recommendation.

The kit wasn't cheap so I wanted to do all steps to...

Re: New to Rupes - Trigger Pull Question

Ironically, I told my buddy I just got the Rupes and we scheduled a date for me to come over and polish his race car, last Sunday. In the meantime I sent it back because I didn't want to use it if...

Update: My polisher is on its way back from Rupes. They replaced a defective switch in the trigger assembly. Hopefully that solves the issue!

Re: New to Rupes - Trigger Pull Question

The polisher is currently on its way to Rupes USA for examination and possibly repair. I spoke to someone named Will on the phone who was very helpful. They need to feel it first-hand to know if...

Re: New to Rupes - Trigger Pull Question

Turns out my wife got it from Amazon who fulfilled the order via detailerdomain. She has made initial contact for the return/exchange. Hopefully they don't give us grief.

Re: New to Rupes - Trigger Pull Question

Thanks for responding again, that first post left me scratching my head.

I suspect it's related to the trigger lock mechanism, what I'm wondering is whether part of that mechanism is in the...

New to Rupes - Trigger Pull Question

Hi all. My wife just got me a LHR15 Mark III for my birthday to replace my trusty old PC. I just unboxed the Rupes and notice at the end of the trigger pull there's a clicking noise and you can...
  14. New Car - Polish Before Coating w/ Cosmic V2?

Hello. In Feb. my wife and I picked up a new X5 from the factory in Spartanburg with its paint fresh as can be. While waiting for the weather to be nice enough to apply a coating I've washed it...

Re: Abandon LSPs for Spray Sealant/Coating?

Not saying my car couldn't benefit from a polish or a AIO but I've maintained it with two bucket washes (and recently introduced a MTM Hydro foam cannon), sealant, a drying aid since new. It has...

    Abandon LSPs for Spray Sealant/Coating?

I've been wondering lately if anyone has abandoned sealants or even coatings in favor of drying aids in the form of spray sealants or spray coatings? With the recent steps in spray-on products like...

Re: New Car - Thinking of Coating

To be clear, I'm not asking for three years. I used that number just the higher end of what some claim to say I prioritize shine over ultimate longevity. CQuartz UK 3.0 sounds like a winner.

Re: New Car - Thinking of Coating

I'd say definitely shine and the ability to 'repel' dirt are most important to me. Maintenance doesn't bother me so much, although it would be nice to have something that only needs to be refreshed...

Thanks for the reply. So you're saying that even with a coating I'd still be applying it bi-annually? That would make me wonder if the advantages over Power Lock are worth it.

    I'm not sure what...
