Re: Anybody topped HD Speed with Coll 845?

I’ve topped Speed with Poxy, and a few months later, topped that with FK1000p. No issues, lasted all winter.

Re: Road Salt Remover / Neutralizer ?

Whip's Wax makes a salt remover. I tried spraying it on before going through the touchless. It gets the salt off, but it needs agitation or it leaves a film. The touchless didn’t remove the film. I...

    Re: Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

I've been using Griot's Surface wash out of the cannon for awhile now. If I need to, I'll just foam the car, then get my mitts out and go over it. I'll re-foam as necessary.

    Re: Griots Surface prep wash

Since I use the BOSS cannon, using the metered tip, I just screw the bottle on.

    Re: Griots Surface prep wash

The Surface Wash and PolyGloss work great for me. I’ve been using them since they first came out, along with the original Griots foam gun. The Surface Prep doesn’t play well with my FK1000p. So be...

Looks like the owner took full advantage of the free washes at the dealer.

Re: best wax/sealant for very wet winters?

After using 476s and 915 for years, I switched over to FK1000p and never looked back. Two coats will last through a northern IL winter.

Re: City water is too hard, what are my options?

I don’t remember what the TDS was at the time. I’m still using the original resin bed. I do, however, have a whole house filter,(no softener). I only use it for the final rinse. At 4 washes or so...

    Re: Sealant comparison

Optiseal plays nice with every sealant or wax I've used. I've tried it underneath and on top, no issues. And a bottle lasts near forever.
