Re: stupid girls and maybe car dings?

I once had magnet strips made to stop dings. The problem was they marred the paint. I threw them out.

Re: stupid girls and maybe car dings?

I parked far away and saw a new BMW X5 also parked far away. When I returned I saw this huge pickup truck which had obviously been mudding parked super close to the BMW. I was appalled but glad it...

    Re: Car Dryer

It’s a hassle to use and set up, it broke on me several times, and the granules are expensive.

    Re: Car Dryer

I have a CR Spotless I haven't used in years. It wouldn't be missed if I threw it out.

Re: What will your next ride be?

I'd buy another Accord coupe as another errand runner/grocery getter but they don't make them any more and I'm really not moved by any other similar vehicles out there so I'll just keep what I have...

Re: Wow did we forget 9/11

I worry about younger generations and what is going to happen to this world too. I really hope history doesn't repeat itself or worse !

I'm from Jersey too and I lived there at that time.I'll never forgot the sound of those fighter jets flying over my house once it was established that it was an attack.

    Re: How many pads?: Discussion!!

I lost all my pads due to foam degradation. They just don't hold up. :(

Re: Had a big surprise today after I washed my car

The air here in Florida causes my glass to constantly have smears. I'm still working on a combination of the right cloths and cleaner to fight it.
  15. Re: LIVE Detailing Class - Polishing GLASS to remove Pits, Wiper Marks & Scratches

If I needed to polish my windshield I'd get the Autogeek covers and put an old car cover on the car and then cut out the windshield area. I'm glad I never threw away my old car cover. Im also sure...
  16. Re: BUFFERS: If I had to do it all over again......

My Cyclo has been collecting dust for years. I guess it's only good as a carpet scrubber these days.

    Re: Windex?

Yep. I always use distilled water. The Megs concentrate works well indoors on mirrors and appliances so I'm thinking my issues with it on car glass are humidity related.

    Re: Windex?

Yep and I still have those surgical huck towels I mentioned there. Those towels have seen many kinds of glass cleaners over the years I've used with varying degrees of success. I always have to...

    Re: Windex?

That's interesting because although I find the Megs concentrate to be okay, I'm looking for something better. So far I'm using Sprayway and that seems to do well in terms of no streaks.
  21. Re: Where to source reasonably priced nitrile gloves. Gone the way of the dodo?

Did you try janitorial supply sources?
  22. Re: New Griots... Rotary? Plus knitted wool pads.

I had the pleasure of meeting and learning from Rod Kraft years ago when he was still with Meguiar's. Indeed, awesome man!
  23. Re: LIVE Detailing Class - Polishing GLASS to remove Pits, Wiper Marks & Scratches

Yep, you guys are probably going to have to charge up to the point where it’s cheaper to just replace.
  24. Re: LIVE Detailing Class - Polishing GLASS to remove Pits, Wiper Marks & Scratches

I watched most of it. Good job! Reminds me of the time I tried to polish out a scratch in glass but without good results. You polished a lot longer than me though and with a much more advanced...
