  6. Re: Remove swirls scratches by machine in Vinyl Stripes Decals Graphics Corvette

It's the first pad and product combo I used on THIS specific graphic and car. I've done this before with the same pad and product so confidence is high. And after doing a TEST SPOT but OFF CAMERA...

    Re: Ferrati 328gtb

Here's a 1980s Ferrari I detailed that had single stage paint.

It also had THIN SPOTS from those that buffed it out before me.

Often times the owners of cars don't even realize they have...

    Re: Ferrati 328gtb

This is what I figured. Single stage paints oxidize a LOT easier and faster than clearcoat paints.

Seeing what you have for products and knowing that most single stage paints are SOFT or at least...

    Cool project.

    Questions

1: What year is this Ferrari?

Re: What would you do, 74 Javelin AMC?

    Also....

The #7 Rub Down Technique would be a great approach. I tend to use it this technique on cars that have visible CHALKY paint from years of neglect but looking at the pictures of this car...

Re: What would you do, 74 Javelin AMC?

I completely agree. I machine polished the Screaming Phoenix using the Rupes 21 with their Diamond Ultra Fine Cut Polish and their White Ultra Soft Foam Finishing pad.

    It peeled away decades...
