    Re: Remove house hold paint

A clay mitt is not going to remove paint.

You would have a better chance with the Mothers clay bar off the shelf.

Soaking it down good with windex and a microfiber may actually remove it.

You use CNN as facts LOL.... What a joke
  3. Re: What's everyone's thoughts on the Covid-19 situation?

    I second this.....

A example to the effectiveness of these blue light weight maskes the majority wear...... Spray paint a object with a mask on then take the mask off and look in the mirror and...

Re: Looking for advice on new compound

Yes, on most paints you can. Now on something soft like Nissan black you're going to get micro maring but Ultracut paired with the right pad will give amazing results.

    I actually do it quite...

Re: Looking for advice on new compound

Pretty much nailed it right here.

These days absolutley zero tolerance for dusting... to many good products out there that you don't have to deal with that.

I agree also that Ultracut cuts...

Re: Looking for advice on new compound

Really is nothing short of amazing..... cuts insanely good and finishes down unbelievably good.
  10. Re: Are my prices too low? Please read and help.

I was just going off the numbers he gave me in the previous post.

I would have to guess materials cost would be higher when you consider pad wear, machine cost, microfiber wear ect.
  11. Re: Are my prices too low? Please read and help.

I don't think your prices are to far off....

    $780 - 20% (taxes) = $624

    $624 - materials = $600

    $600 ÷ 12hrs = $50/hr
  12. Re: Are my prices too low? Please read and help.

How many hours did that take you?

Is that $780 going to be taxed?

What was a rough estimate in materials cost?

  14. Re: Last step. Cut with Sonax Perfect Finish

Nothing that you're really going to notice.

If you're after refining it a bit more use a rupes white pad with menzerna 3800. Still the gains will be minimal.

Re: single stage black lacquer correction

Meguiars Machine Glaze is a good option for what you're trying to do.

    Re: Menzerna 3 step process

First pass I would try Menzerna 400 with a Lake Country microfiber pad then finish with a Buff & Shine orange pad with CarPro Essence

Re: Jescar and Sonax 2 stage…

Honestly I would start with a micro fiber pad and the Sonax perfect finish to cut. White is definitely always on the hard side but those year Mustangs are really nice to work with.

Re: Turtle Wax Ceramic Acrylic Black Polish

That stuff works very well and it's nice because you can get it off the shelf. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that uses one step polishes.
