  1. Re: Best products for new cars that go through automatic car washes frequently?

I used Nu Finish (GASP!) on a 2014 silver Kia Forte I bought new as a daily. I went through a local, new tunnel wash at least 3 times a week for 4 years (touch style, cloth strips) and that car...

Re: Did I get a deal?

No. I posted my thoughts on the comparison of the G15 and LHR15 MKII on this forum elsewhere. The Griot's seemed to have a bit more power, but was much less refined in use. If I never used the...

Re: Did I get a deal?

I've done 2 cars with the Rupes now and I'm pleased with it. It is very smooth (smoother than the G15 by far) and other than being easily stalled it seems like a good tool. I'll probably add a...

Re: opinions on 2 potential logos for my business?

Do not like the red and yellow. Looks like ketchup and mustard.

Keep the name short, use hard consonants at the beginning of the words if possible, think about what your email will look like...

Re: opinions on 2 potential logos for my business?

The spray bottle looks like a person sort of bent over trying to pick something up. I'd lose the bottle.
  8. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

That could be as simple as changing the clearance of the backing plate to the shroud. The folks that disassembled them didn't mention any differences. Either way...not a big deal.
  9. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

Well...they are being marketed as such. My investigations led me to 3-4 machines as there isn't a lot of competition in this market. They're built to look like each other and priced closely enough...
  10. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

    Thanks, Tony.

When I brought the Rupes home, I disassembled the backing plate and cleaned and re-lubed the shroud and the backing plate. They come from Rupes with silicone grease so I moved some...

  12. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

No idea who you're replying to (no quoted text), but my comparison was with 2 - 15mm throw machines.
  13. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

Everything I've read and watched says the mechanicals are the same. It's ergos mainly.
  14. Re: non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

Thanks. I didn't notice that myself, but maybe with more use it might be an issue.
  15. non-professional comparison Rupes V Griot's G15

I couldn't decide which long throw DA I wanted so I bought am LHR15 MKII and a Griot's G15. My background is non-professional car care guy. I have 4-6 cars in my family I take care of and...

Re: Did I get a deal?

Pics of the backing plate removed, etc. There is silicone grease here. I moved some of it to the rubber shroud that touches the backing plate.

Re: Did I get a deal?

I posted a couple pics. 3-4 of the pads were dirty, but 10 minutes in the sink and they're all like new now. They show no wear. The seller said he'd only used it a couple times and I believe him. ...

    Did I get a deal?

Local guy had a LHR15 MKII for sale. 14 months old (I have the receipt) Looks new, box, manuals, etc. 12 Rupes pads (3-4 were slightly used)

$200. Good deal? I wanted a MKIII, but this seemed...

Ya, it's taken me this long to upgrade from my 10+ year old Griot's DA. I don't need a "cord update". I have extension cords.

Thanks. I found one right at Griots at a big discount with everything they sell in the BOSS system so I grabbed it. I love my 10+ yr old Griots 6" DA so this should be a huge step up for me.

205 and then 105 really gave no result. The clear must be stained. Any other ideas?
