    Re: 3-in-1 Leather Products?

PBL Balm is very expensive. It looks like a jar of car wax. Isn't this harder to use than sprays? Aren't most of us using these products on plastic coated leather? Sounds like a job for 303.

Re: Coating overload - which one to use

I applied Optimum Gloss-Coat to my white Audi TT last year. I am very happy with the application and the result. It seems this product is not as popular as it once was. Are the coatings in the...

    Re: Nattys Black Review

Sounds like a good product. That Z looks great. You're going to want to scrap those garage floor mats for something like Race Deck.

Thanks so much for all the inspiring comments. Now I don't feel like I have over the top OCD for loving this hobby. This site is therapy. Rental? LOL

Silly to detail a leased car?

Some people think it's silly to detail & use a coating on a leased car. "Why bother" they say. I think it's worth the effort because I get three years of easy washing, and the car looks much better...

    Re: Review: Optimum Gloss Coat

I just applied Gloss Coat to my 16 Audi TT. After all the work of polishing w Cleansing Polish & IPA wipe, I wonder if there is any benefit to applying a second coat to the hood, roof & trunk. It's...

"Leasing?" Sure; now I will have three years of easy washing with great gloss.
  9. Re: Best Wax, Sealant or Coating for Protection Durability and Shedding?

I have both DP coating, and PNS. Both are easy & nice. DP is the clear long term winner for me.

    Re: Is My PC dieing?

Thanks so much. You're right, I was using prewax cleaner on a new Audi before Opti Gloss. I thought 3 was all that was needed. Much better at higher speeds.

    Is My PC dieing?

I have an older 7424 non XP Porta Cable. I've been leasing, so I only use it once a year. When I polish with a 4" Hydro Tech, anything more than very light pressure causes rotation to stop. It seems...

    Re: Optimum Gloss-Coat - 2015 Ram 1500

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I agree with your comment about Opti-Coat 2.0. I'm saving my last few CCs for the wheels of the 16 Audi TT I have on order. Will your truck be in a garage? I'm...

    Re: Pinnacle Paint Coating ???

I did my Audi TT w PBL, and my wife's BMW 3 with DP coating. Both are garaged. After 5 months both looked good, but for the upcoming winter I wanted additional protection. Both cars were free of...

Re: Attention Pinnacle Black Label fans...

If one bottle of PBL can do more than ten cars, why not reapply instead of using any boosters? I coated my ride in November, so by spring I'll do a little cleanup and coat again.

I placed my BL order, but colder temps are on the way. How cold is safe to apply DP and BL coatings?

    Re: New Hobby

Well, that didn't last long. It was great fun, but now my Nano is so high in a tree I can barely see it. [wind swept] It was enough fun for me to order another one.

    New Hobby

Detailing has been my major hobby for many years. I recently retired, so I needed an additional interest. I had some RC models as a kid, but was blown away by what's out there now. It's a quadcopter...
  19. Re: Ever use your detailing skill on something other than a car?

I did the blades & chute of my snowblower with Zymol Royale. Went through 12" of snow with no clogged chute and the snow flew farther with no ice buildup.

    Harsh run-flat tires.

Hi: When I test drove an Audi TT in August, I was thinking it had decent ride qualities. It had regular tires & a can of fix-a-flat in the trunk. I just took delivery, but my new car has run flat...

    Re: Too dusty for qd?

With that much dust, you are almost sure to scratch the paint. I use QD to add a little pop to the shine right after washing. It's no substitute for a needed wash, or you could use ONR.

Re: How much CQuartz or Opti Coat do I need?

When I apply OC 2.0, I always save the applicator and use it on something in the house. Kitchen and bathroom faucets are now gleeming and easy to clean. I also used it on my auto paint finish laptop...
