  2. Re: Lake Country Microfiber Pads used with flex 3401

I tried the microfiber pads once on the 3401.

It was a bouncy, physical experience.
They do work great on my PC7424
  3. Re: weird substance on car hood and recommended removal techniques?

    Well pick your poison.

There is already nail scratches + swirls in addition to the mineral deposits.

Oils will just mask what is there. Try vinegar if you are going with home brews.

    Re: Winter cleaning options/products

The trial and error of being DIY is what helps make informed choices.
Rinseless in winter means a lot more towels.
I have done rinseless for 6 years in extreme temps to find out what is workable. I...
  5. Re: weird substance on car hood and recommended removal techniques?

You should buy a cleaner wax for your initial go at it.
If this makes an improvement, which I am sure it will, you can step up to a polish for better results....

    Re: Winter cleaning options/products

Not sure where you are at but you need something like a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

A pre-rinse doesn't do much for salt, brine or oil films but it sure knocks the snot out of the sand.
    So while your...

I just had to do a fresh one with TW to compare.
    The flaking has me worried.

Re: Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

    Coated the winter tires 2x.
Last spring I cleaned them with Megs D143.
I didn't clean again, just lathered them up.

What I started with. 4 years of TW coating.

Decided about time I heat the garage.

Good deal on this 5000 watt from Rural Hing. Basically $100 to the door.
Just waiting on the wire, breaker and switch then I put...
