  1. Re: How long does a Graphene coating stay slick?

About 6 months on its own. Thatís based on me using SPS. It needs a topper to keep it going.

Budget put it through a harsh winter and Iím sure he will chime in.

SPS has been meh for me. ...

Use what you already have. You can use something else after the winter.

    Re: Carpro Dlux, wrong date???

As long as itís not crystallized itís fine.

This is why I order coatings directly from the coating manufacturer as they tend to sit in the shelves of distributors for awhile.

Re: Products like Gyeon can coat

From a coating lite perspective Cquartz Lite and Gyeon One. Different application as these are applied in the more traditional coating application.
  6. Re: KILLER CAR WASH - Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Coating Wash

JustJesus hooked me up with a 16oz bottle the last time he stopped by to drop off a prototype coating bottle holder.

He didnít know that I donít like ceramic infused soaps and I wasnít going to...

  8. Re: Review: Dr. Beasley's NSP Z1 - One Step Primer & Nanocoating with Ti02 & Si02 + Composite Engineered Abrasives

CarPro Essence and Essence Plus also contains resins but they are not coatings. Thus why I was saying what is left behind is a ceramic infused form of protection.

Re: What coating is tough and hydrophobic?

    Welcome to the forum.

A majority of coatings are hydrophobic. Most are as durable as the environment they are exposed to and how they are cared for. Probably not the answer you want to hear. Be...
  10. Re: Review: Dr. Beasley's NSP Z1 - One Step Primer & Nanocoating with Ti02 & Si02 + Composite Engineered Abrasives

Looks to be more of a "ceramic" infused sealant.

    Re: 2011 WRX Paint Correction

I would opt for the Sonax duo of Cut Max and EX 04-06. That way you have a compound if you do need it or if you need to spot correct. Pinnacle was alright but Sonax is much better in my experience....

  17. Re: Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

How about undiluted wash on a damp towel?

Last resort is to polish and recoat those areas.
  18. Re: Water spots from si02 wash on ceramic coating!?!

Try a panel wipe on them. Those water spot removers can kill the hydrophobic water behavior. Perhaps even try vinegar and water and see if that does anything.
  19. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Compound, Polish and Diamond Surface Prep Spray

I would not bother with the surface cleansing polish. As mentioned it contains no abrasives. It is used in the same way as a panel wipe in prepping the surface for a coating. I would just use the...

    Re: Carpro Immolube

A panel wipe is a must as CarPro states to remove the residue. You rinse it so that explains why you don't experience it. Plus the residue it leaves behind is not polymers or anything so it won't...

    Re: Carpro Immolube

Immolube is good. Does get sudsy with a clay mitt or clay towel and loads up the wipe off towel. No suds with a clay bar. Only thing I don't like about it is that it needs a prep wipe to remove...
