    Re: BEST PADS

The best pad depends on the particular job you are doing. For moderate defects, I'd suggest the Griot Boss Microfiber Fast finishing pad. Those pads cut better and quicker than mild foam cutting...

Re: Coating lite all winter test.

Any product that needs to stay dry for 7 days is a turn off.
  6. Re: Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Spray Coating - First Impressions Video

I have the Wolfgang SCC on my truck. At the 4 month mark it's still alive.

    Re: "Light" vs "heavy" solvents

Better quit washing your car before it erodes away.

    Re: "Light" vs "heavy" solvents

I meant lightest as in less likely to remove or degrade an underlying product.

    Re: "Light" vs "heavy" solvents

Pretty sure the lightest solvent is water. Water based products make great toppers.

Re: ok guys I just woke up from a bad dream lol

Mixing products with a wash product will work if they are water based. You'd have to ask the manufacturer if a particular product is water or solvent based.

Re: Review: 303 Graphene Nano Spray Coating

My question is does the black color get wiped away or does it stay on the surface of the paint? I'm just not quite sure about a black film on a high gloss painted surface.

    Re: Ceramic Coatings?

I'll say this, I'm not sure based on my limited experience that coatings are all that mar resistant.

Re: Foam Pad Options for the Griots G9 Polisher

Figured I'd mention this here. Griots redesigned their Microfiber Fast Finishing pad(6.5 inch). It used to be black with soft red foam and no center hole. Now it's white with a firmer red foam and a...

Re: T&C (also known as terms and conditions)

Lots of vehicles had paint issues back in those years. I once removed the paint from the doorhandle of my car at a coin op. That being sia, if it's damaged while you are working on it, you are...

Re: Stupid question, rinseless wash alternative?

If you want to try an inexpensive rinseless wash it's hard to beat Duragloss.
  17. Re: Riot, sorry protest, damaged fj cruiser. Spray paint removal

You'll need some strong cleaning and polishing compounds to get that off.

Re: Mildew (?) on white paint, how to correct

I use a strong cleaner like Dawn or an All Purpose Cleaner and see what happens.

    Re: Dashboard cracks why?

Could just be cheap materials used in the construction of the dash. Some vehicles seem more crack prone than others.

Re: 62 Roman Red 409/4 speed

The old school trick was to wash single stage with Kerosene. I'm guessing Meguiars #7 would be more effective.
  24. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Ceramic Coating Pro

Most coatings want several days before a wash. Water might have compromised the coating.
  25. Re: What's the replacement for Blackfire all-in-one Trim & Tire Protectant?

    Maybe try DP Tire Coating
