    Re: Correcting Hard Clearcoat

I'm in Vaughan. BMW clearcoat is relatively hard so that maybe the issue.

    Re: Correcting Hard Clearcoat

Where abouts are you in Toronto? I'm in Toronto as well. Ultimate Compound isn't that aggressive, specially not on a BMW paint.
  3. Re: What to use on black wheels to polish after wash

Gloss Coat would probably only survive like.. months on rims. I didn't find gloss coat to survive long past the 6 months mark on my car, was kind of disappointing.

    Re: Questions about machine polishing

4 passes for a small throw D/A is not much. 4 passes with a long throw D/A does a lot. I normally do 4 - 5 passes with a long throw.
  5. Re: Can I Get Some Quick Guidance With My New CarPro Products?

Other reason I wouldn't use spotless is because it kills hydrophobic properties on coatings. I used it once, never again. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure how much damage Spotless does to coatings and...
  6. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

A suggestion for him might be to use a carblower and blow off as much water as possible before he goes in and dries. I'm not sure if it is the coating, just because even a coating like CeramicPro...
  7. Re: Yellow Stain on white coated paint. How to remove?

I see the spots. Talk to the original detailer who opticoated your car and see if it's something he can do.

Re: Review: Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Coating

Coatings generally can be a bit tacky. It's because of how they produce the hydrophobic qualities of them. Generally it's not because the coating is super smooth and flat, but rather that there's...
  9. Re: Prediction - More one-step cleaner/COATINGS or CCAIOS i.e. Ceramic Coating All-in-One type products

Only thing I think right now is that none of the currently existing ones have much durability. They seem almost to be one of those you need to use after every few washes basically.
  10. Re: New, frustrated and determined (lots of questions)?

Best thing to do is to watch videos made by the manufacturer themselves. They'll give you the best information.
  11. Re: New, frustrated and determined (lots of questions)?

Honestly TrustJesus, don't watch too many of the youtube influencer videos. For example, Brian from Apex is a good guy and a great businessman but all his Artdeshine products, a company from up here...

Re: New to correction, scratch removal

I'd suggest getting more fast correction foam pads and correction foam pads as well as some finishing foam pads. I've never used complete compound but I know that the fast correcting cream and the...

Re: New to correction, scratch removal

What pads are you using? What kind of polisher? What kind of paint leveling liquids and what kind of car is that? All those factor in to a great finish so it's hard to give you an answer without...
  14. Re: Paint spots on my 2015 Night Race Blue Metallic

Did you get the CQUartz finest re-applied? And was it covered under the warranty?

    Re: ONRWW rinseless wash advice

I don't wrong out the towel at all. If it drips, it drips. More lubrication is always better, I don't really trust ONR to be honest, because I used to use ONR with BRS, and I pre-treated quite...
  16. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

Issue with Ceramic Pro is that they recommend multiple layers for most effective use. Issue with that is, that means with that many layers required, each individual application doesn't have a high...
  17. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

Ya it's Ceramic Pro. Not exactly the most stellar on the market.

Basically, for the rest of his car, I'd suggest having some kind of a good detailing spray that he can use. Something along the...
  18. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

Perhaps Rinseless washing would be a good choice for him.
  19. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

Best thing to do might be to try a slightly different soap and re-wash and see. If the same thing happens, might be the water. Might I suggest if you have the time, to join him for a wash? Perhaps...
  20. Re: Coating experts: I need your opinions here

His water is too hard. When he dries, he's not getting all of it up that's why he's seeing the smears. I doubt it's hyperwash. My suggestion, get him to use something as a drying aid when he dries,...

Re: What Happened To My Ceramic Coating?

Don't get me wrong, I use coatings for myself but I use fall out remover and it's back to being fine after a good wash. That I can accept but with Reload, it feels like the next step is to clay and...

Re: What Happened To My Ceramic Coating?

The contamination build up from Reload. For whatever reason, a month after having reload on with consistent washes, the paint already feels like sandpaper again. I don't get that with the other...

Re: What Happened To My Ceramic Coating?

No, it's definitely not a quick detailer. Mind you, it's not just Reload. Reload, Cure, etc, a lot of those products I find give great water beading, and adds some gloss but that's usually about it.
