Re: LSP for Weekend Only Cruiser?

I would look in Gyeon CanCoat as an option. Coatings will scratch especially for those that love touching their vehicles constantly and wiping them down with detail spray. Very common amongst car...

Re: Tire coating prep for new tires

I would clean them weekly until that mold wax release is completely gone. I never used that tire coating so I don't know how it reacts to any mold wax release still left. The Mckee's tire coating...

I have no idea. That is a question for AG. But they are available elsewhere at the moment.

    Review - Gyeon Syncro Evo

Nathan who is a Gyeon USA representative reached out to me and asked if I would be interesting in trying out the new coatings. I could not pass up on the offer so I thank Nathan for sending them out...
  5. Re: Clear Coat or Ceramic Coat Peeling From Headlight?

Ceramic coatings are such a thin layer that they don’t flake or crack. This is the coating in the headlight.
  6. Re: How to ensure you don't miss spots when using ceramic coatings?

Don't over think it. Once you are physically doing it, you will not be worried about it. Just have good lighting while you are wiping off the coating.
  7. Re: Need recommendation for towels for first ceramic coating

This is good info. CanCoat comes with the included towel.

I just did a layer of CanCoat with the included towel and that was is. A second towel would be an insurance policy for high spots. But...

    Re: Ceramic light coatings

Follow the recommended application for cancoat. Here is the video. The concern is the coatings seeing moisture which includes dew. The sprayer works best if rinsed right after using hot water. ...

    Ceramic light coatings

Both are good options. If you have a garage then Lite. If you don’t then CanCoat Evo topped with Cure just as insurance policy.

Both coating will perform longer than their claims.

    Might be...

Re: Giots 3in1 v Griots Best in Show Detailer

You can mention it. Just no links as it is not sold on Autogeek. But from what I have seen it doesn't look that impressive. Nothing that other products can do equally or better.

    Re: CQuartz UK Questions

Congrats. CarPro does recommend two layers so you are fine there. The coating needs to not get wet for 24 hours. Corey covers the reason why two layers are recommended at the 2:25 mark.

  14. Re: Need recommendation for first-time ceramic coating, and a couple application questions

Any of the new Gyeon Evo coatings are user friendly. I have not used the new One Evo but the video seems fraught forward for application on Gyeon’s YouTube channel.

Be sure to get a kit that...

    Re: Ceramic light coatings

Exactly. They are all semi-permanent. The real coatings will last longer and be more durable that what you’re currently using which looks to be more of a spray sealant.

    CanCoat and Cquartz Lite...

    Re: 2021 Coating Test

At the moment I do not. I have to look at my memory card to see if the 6 month update is there or if I lost it. I have been pre-occupied with other things as well.
  18. Re: Need recommendation for first-time ceramic coating, and a couple application questions

Good choice. How’s it holding up?

Only downside is it needs to cure indoors.

Re: Recommend a coating for red Dodge paint

UK topped with SiC is a great choice. As much as I like Legend it’s not the easiest to use and is very temperature and humidity dependent.
  20. Re: Need recommendation for first-time ceramic coating, and a couple application questions

Watch this one as well. Gyeon recommends and applicator is using it outside.

The Adams Graphene Spray Coating is easy to use but it won’t be as durable as CanCoat.

Glad you got in context with him. If it’s one thing missing from this forum I’d not having Mike Phillips to pass along threads like this to Chris.

    Re: Dr. Beasley’s NSP

Essence is good as is Gyeon Primer. The Dr. B NSP's are pretty versatile and having a compound that can finish out coating ready is pretty nice. They do save a lot of time and once the technique is...

Get yourself a bottle of the new Gyeon CanCoat Evo. Here is my review of it. You will have to order it elsewhere as it is not available at AGO yet. But the new Gyeon coatings are outdoor friendly....
