    Re: Kwazar Venus Foamer

An original pH value of 10 diluted 5:1 will bring it down to 9.22. A 10:1 dilution will reduce it 8.96. A 20:1 dilution will yield a pH value of 8.68. Any liquid in the 6 to 8.5 range can be...
  2. Re: Question for you guys who live in a blizzard..

I love it! The type of road salt each city or state uses also depends on the predicted temperature. Common road salt is unrefined sodium chloride and it is only effective down to 20 degrees F....
  3. Re: Question for you guys who live in a blizzard..

Sound advice! However sometimes the salt and the yuck can still get on the carpeted areas on the edges of the floorliners. Since the salt is water soluble, I usually first clean it with some water...
  4. Re: Sonax for wheels, what do you use for tire cleaning?

I have used Adams Tire & Rubber Cleaner, DP Detailers Dual Action Tire & Wheel Cleaner, TufShine Tire Cleaner and Meguairs D143 all with great success. The only issue is that is seems to take a lot...

I have always been partial to Ford’s Ruby Red, but that Mazda Soul Red Metallic is enchanting.

Re: Who here uses paint depth gauges?

I am by no means a professional, but I use one if I am breaking out the polisher on my own vehicles or especially a friend's or family's vehicle. If you are a professional, it would be a good idea to...

Blackfire One Step seems to be the popular choice. I don't use all in ones too often but when I do I like the Griots Garage One Step Sealant. It provides some mild paint correction but I am really...

Re: Your GO TO tire and wheel cleaner....

I wanted to like the CG Sticky Citrus but it just did not do anything. I have used Griots and Sonax and they immediately start to work as soon as you spray them on. The Chemical Guys product did not...

Re: Old Cringe worthy Detailing Techniques

I posted this a few times before, but back in the late 60's and early 70's, these techniques were commonplace and accepted. Washing consisted of one bucket with Dupont No. 7 soap powder from the...

LA Totally Awesome for tires, Griots Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner for wheels. Chemical Guys Sticky Citrus Wheel Cleaner is one of the most worthless products I have used.

Re: Review: Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax

Collinite 845 is one of my favorite LSPs. It lasts for months and I have never experienced any ghosting. The secret is thin coats. A little goes a long way. It can be difficult to work with in colder...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

It was 35 degrees today and a perfect day to do rinseless washes on two vehicles. I just got a delivery of some Griots products so I wanted to try their rinseless wash concentrate and their Ceramic...

I would love to have a house in Tahoe. Are you near the Tahoe Keys? We rent a house every year in Carnelian Bay. We can see Garwoods from the deck. That road near Emerald Bay can be treacherous in...

    Re: Tire Chains?

You definitely need tire chains if you are driving around Lake Tahoe. There are signs all over the place stating that you need them. The California side of the lake especially near Emerald Bay has...

Re: Master blaster - who uses?

I use the McKees Turbo and Metro Blaster Sidekick and enjoy them both. The Turbo can be a bit cumbersome but it really moves the water. I still follow up with Wolfgang Uber and a Griots PFM.
