I've been using Griot's Surface Wash and PolyGloss in my foamer for awhile now. Very pleased with both.

Re: When to replace microfiber towels

You could try boiling them. If that doesn't work and they don't absorb water, they're dirty-job towels and disposable after they get dirty.

    Re: Best wax on Autoblog

Kinda' like Consumer Reports doing a tire test. Useless.
  8. Re: Remove water spots - Matte Shaker Hood Scoop - 2016 Challenger Scatpack 392 Hemi

Outstanding work. This is why I'm not fond of these matte-finish parts and/or graphics on a daily driver.

Have you ever had to restore a newer satin-finish hood on Hellcat/Scat Pack cars?

  9. Re: Does Microfiber Start to Melt at 140F [my dryers low setting]

I tried boiling them once. It had no effect on restoring their absorbency. It's certainly worth a try, though.

Towels are consumables, when they stop working properly, it's time to replace them.
  10. Re: Are exterior trim products becoming obsolete to the ceramic spray waxes?

    Mike,

What would you recommend for new car trim?

    Thanks.
  11. Re: What is your favorite microfiber towel for waterless MAINTENANCE wash?

Whatever you decide on, the lightest color would let you see the dirt more easily.
  12. Re: How to clean microfiber towels when not a full load?

Same here. I use 3D Microfiber Cleaner and the sanitary cycle on my washer.
  13. Re: Not So Dirty Seat Got Filthy After Cleaning Huh?!

It may be more economical,(time-wise) to have new seat covers installed.

Re: Wash or not to wash

Nothing to worry about. If you like to wash it, wash it.

    They're your cars to enjoy.
  16. Re: Looking for a CHEAP WOWA product for neighbor

Opti-seal is easy and foolproof. UPGP is also another option.
  17. Re: Is it possible to clean with just a foam cannon soak and rinse?

I use Griots Surface Wash, rinse, then Poly-Gloss, rinse. Final rinse with deionized water, then blow-dry and touch up the remaining water. Works fine with mild dirt.
  18. Re: Best protection from birds? Film or Ceramic

FK1000p is superb at bird bomb protection.
  19. Re: advancement in sealants and wax's for water spotting

Thanks, Mike. I like to think so.

I do get alot of, "Did you just wash your car?" remarks.

If my wife says her car looks great, that's all I need. :)
  20. Re: Pictures and Comments May 2021 3-Day Detailing Class at Autogeek with Mike Phillips

All look great. Especially the Lincoln. An acre of black paint with a white top and white interior.

    Looking forward to tomorrow’s rescues.

    Thanks.

PS: Or is it Navy Blue?

    Re: CAR Dryers

I use my 80v cordless leaf blower. A bit ungainly to use, but works. Especially in the cracks and crevices. Other than a blower, there's really no other way to dry an intricate honeycomb grille.

Re: Wax safe windshield washer fluid?

A tip right from Nextzett- use tap water to mix. Distilled water will make it foam.
