What gsm towels? Plush or not?

You are ok. The fibers are not going to get stuck.

    Re: Which Coating For Rims

They will both last about the same amount of time. It will depend on what type of elements the wheels are exposed to. C5 is not as hydrophobic as Exo but rather more sheeting when the water floods...

    Re: Polished wheels

Look into Wolfgang Metal Sealant. It works very well on polished aluminum wheels. The wheel will still need polishing even with a coating as the surface will still oxidize just at slower pace than...

Re: Topper for CarPro Cquartz UK Edition

Your choice of shampoo are fine. I would choose Elixir over Hydro2. Elixir does have a little hydro2 in its formula.

Re: Topper for CarPro Cquartz UK Edition

Gliss would be ideal at the initial application. There is nothing wrong applying it down the road but it will take more work to remove Reload to get Gliss to bond to CQUK 3.0.

  10. Re: Poor performance by optimum tire protection?

New tires can be tricky. They don't often take a tire coating too well. They have that mold wax in them that is released over time. Cleaning weekly and simply driving over the course of a month...
  11. Re: Poor performance by optimum tire protection?

First of all how was the tire prepped? Were these new tires?

The durability of any product is going to vary by the condition it sees. For example harsher conditions will degrade any product...

    Re: Matte paint repair

I’m not sure. I never polished a matte finish. Hopefully someone who has chimes in.

Post photos. Tapatalk makes it easy to do that.

    Re: Matte paint repair

Sounds like the previous owner did too much damage to it. Once a matte finish is polished there is no going back.

You could try to have it wrapped in matte vinyl.
  15. Re: Thoughts on Sonax pads vs. Lake Country vs. Flex pads?

The sonax pads are nice. The yellow polishing pad is just as good as the Rupes yellow.

I have not used anything from the Kamikaze line. Our resident guru on that brand would be BudgetPlan. The other thing I can not comment on is how the coating is affected using a car cover. ...

    Re: Matte paint repair

I saw the photo you posted on the facebook group. The thing about a matte finish is that it loses its matte appearance once it is polished and then it can not be restored back to matte.
