It's not the washing step where towels with a weave or a nap/loop get contaminated, it's from all the ways it can happen.

You are correct - contamination like getting sticks, leaves, dead bugs,...
  4. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

I like a flat weave for my drying towels. No chance of becoming contaminated over time.

This ties in with how I'm always telling people that how long anything lasts or looks good on car paint,...
  5. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

And here's an example. These pictures taken about one hour ago. I just washed an old 2-door Chevy starting with the wheels and tires first. After washing and rinsing the wheels and tires I blew...

  8. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

I show the Metrovac Sidekick in all my car detailing classes, even pack one to my roadshow classes.

I also make sure everyone in every class feels how strong the air power is from this tool...
  9. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

    I'll chime in,

I use the FLEX Cordless because out of the car dryers we sell, it's the one I like the best.

BUT - I only use it for blowing out cracks, crevices, emblems, door handles, tail...
  10. Re: Review: BLACKFIRE Mat Cleaner & Protectant

    Nice feedback Mike.

I only used this product one time and that was to do the review. To be honest, I think it was Weather Tech that started the dedicated matt cleaning product "catagory" when...

    Re: Window cleaning trick

Some of you may have never seen this article I wrote.

It has some photography that was a tick tricky to obtain. I liked the title I came up with too. :D

Be sure to watch for the picture that shows the boat out in a field wasting away.

    Re: Question on new paint

The average wait time is 30 days.

The idea being to not SEAL the surface until all out-gassing of any solvents has taken place to enable the paint to come to full cure and full hardness.

  24. Re: The simplest thing can gain a customer.

I have a friend in this industry, he shared his rule of operation with me, I thought it was great advice - the thing is - as far as I can tell - he never actually followed his own advice - OR -...
