  1. Re: Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

Itís like tools you buy from Harbor Freight: they are okay for very occasional use but you probably shouldnít rely on them if you plan on needing them for use every day.
  2. Re: Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

I havenít used my buffers in years due to washing marring free but if you do any kind of polishing for money youíre gonna need one.

Re: Your thoughts on 15,000 mile oil changes..

My Toro lawnmower claims the oil never needs to be changed but I change it once a year. I want the thing to last.

Re: Your thoughts on 15,000 mile oil changes..

I buy my OEM filters in bulk from an online Audi and Honda parts dealer. I fear one day my Cadillac will be too old and Iíll have a tough time finding a filter that will fit it. In the meantime I...

    Re: Old wax!

With so many CAR washing/shampoo products out there, why would one even consider something like Dawn?

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Iím a watch guy and can appreciate a nice watch story. I ought to have my grandfatherís watch restored.
  10. Re: TONIGHT - Pints & Polishing Auto Detailing Podcast - I'll be with Marshal and DJ tonight at 8:30pm Eastern Time

Might give me an excuse to try Zoom. Sounds like it will be fun.
  11. Re: Review: 303 Aerospace Protectant - 1970 Cuda with Black Vinyl Top

Iíve been using 303 Aerospace Protectant for about as long as Iíve been detailing. Itís simply perfect for interior surfaces. I donít hesitate to buy it by the gallon. A true staple product!

Re: what are you currently watching?

Yes I plan to keep the cable company internet because itís reliable but if it goes out Iím totally out of TV. Might happen this hurricane season. Itís an inconvenience Iíll have to be prepared for.

    Re: Anybody heard from SWETM?

If he returns, maybe heíll follow Mikeís recommendation yesterday about long posts.
  15. Re: How to type in a way that other people will read what you write

Proper spelling and grammar make you look intelligent. The absence of it...not so much.
  16. Re: How to type in a way that other people will read what you write

Iím never a fan of diarrhea of the keyboard so I hope this thread may remind folks to break up their text.
  17. Re: How to type in a way that other people will read what you write

I couldnít agree more. I simply ignore posts with large chunks of texts even if they contain valuable info. Itís just a hassle to attempt to read it and Iím sure we are all here to avoid hassles.

    Call to Ban YouTubers

I think itís worthwhile for the Autogeek staff to sit down and create an official policy regarding posting YT videos. What kinds are and are not allowed. That is if they care that currently anyone...
  20. Re: What did I do wrong Meguiarís hybrid ceramic liquid wax?

No one is twisting your arm to not use a drying aid, use one if youíre comfortable that way. All Iím saying is with my using a PFM the water gets soaked up so instantly thereís no need for one and I...
  21. Re: What did I do wrong Meguiarís hybrid ceramic liquid wax?

Yes, I find this to be totally true. If you use a PFM you donít need a drying aid at all. Swirls come from poor washing technique and/or poor shampoo.
