Re: 24 Hours Between EXO v4 Coats?

You mean the video I watched of the guy removing high spots of CQUK3 by wet sanding wasn’t necessary? The horror!

Jk, knew the guy was overdoing it.

The YouTuber ScottHD dropped his ‘final’* video of his Ceramic Coating video today. I’m not sure what to make of it. The hood that sits out back of his shop has reached 2 years and he tested the...

    Re: Gtechniq T1 sling

Guessing the chemistry of the compound of the tires interacts (or fails to) with the T1 differently.

Re: Leather Help, QUICK. Only have 2 days...

When my oldest was younger, he drew on the headliner with his crayons. It’s what started me on the detailing kick.

Re: Anyone use ONR for everything?

I’ve told myself I would do that and I’ve used it for all of possible applications at one time or another. However, I always seem to buy something to try for one (or more) of the possible uses.

    Gyeon Trim and running board

My wife has retractable running boards on her SUV. I have some Gyeon Q2 Trim leftover from the trim on my car. Would it be ok to use the Trim coating on the running boards?

    Worried it might make...
  13. Re: Patented UV Protection - Optimum Car Wax - by Dr. Ghodoussi at Autogeek.com

I vaguely remember an OPT rep stating that Dr. G didn’t believe the technology was ready to be superior to current products. I just read on their forum that they have some new products in the...

Re: What Polisher should I get? curvy panels

I just got a short neck Nano when they were on sale on Autogeek. It is a great tool. I wouldn’t want to do a whole car, even a swoopy sports car, with it however. Try the PC with a 3” plate and see...

    Re: Just Starting Out

It’s so dry here that I have to be very careful with rinsing or I’ll leave water marks. Meg’s makes good stuff but there are a lot of good products out there. There’s something to be said for the...

Re: What Polisher should I get? curvy panels

If it were me, and I had an original PC and recently got a G9, I would get a 3 inch backing plate and try some 3 & 4” pads with it. That would be the most expeditious and least expensive option. If...

Re: Brake cleaner for removing wax?

It has a melting point below what paint reaches under summer sun. Part of the reason it’s more prevalent in Britain than here in Texas.

    Re: What I'm doing wrong???

I expect that the paint is harder than you thought and you haven’t touched it with the very fine polishes you’ve used or it’s as you thought, really really soft.

If it is soft, check it by wiping...

    Re: What I'm doing wrong???

A couple of thoughts, and I’m no expert. Are you reinstalling scratches with the wipe down?

Second, if you aren’t getting results going with a finer polish, maybe try going coarser?

While waiting for dinner, I applied the second coat of CQuartz Lite to my a pillars. I also got some of the Gtechniq C5 that Guz sent me and applied it to the supercharger on my MINI.
