I (my dealer) just took delivery of an F-350 King Ranch. Just a SICK truck with every bell & whistle you can think of. Magnetic Gray paint.

Just shy of 86k, and you can see the orange peel in the...

    Re: 2020 Jeep Gladiator

    VERY nice, dude!

Yeah, I'm not sure how much more orange peel manufacturers can induce without the paint jobs looking like rhino liner. It has become out of control. :(
  5. Re: New car - What to do ahead of cquarts (not prep steps)

And with a new paint, this would be a very quick, and very smart step.

    The Guz is always thinking!!!

    Right on, Mike. :)

    Re: SF3500 and SF3800--What Happened?

    Exactly right.

Maybe they don't care about a new influx of followers (i.e. newbies, which equals more income).

I did a TON of reading on here before pulling the trigger on my initial set up....
  8. Re: Switching to High Mileage Oil made a huge difference..

Yeah, there is the leaking (which actually looks worse than it is on concrete) and then there is the oil that slips past the rings and makes it into the combustion chamber and gets burned.

    Most...

  11. Re: Repainted the fender on my GTO after a burn through.

I certainly get it, Justin. I am very proficient at what I do. Some say "deadly".

Could I master what you do? Maybe..... with training.

But I am too old to delve into yet another aspect of...

    Re: Wolfgang 3 long throw?

    You are correct.

And wanting to try new products is natural. WG makes some incredible products, and I own quite a few.

That said, the Griot's Boss line is on par with just about anything out...
  13. Re: Repainted the fender on my GTO after a burn through.

Yeah, there are always greater and lesser people in any game.

In this paint care profession, I consider myself an "assistant lesser" person.

Then there are guys like Justin...........

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

    Hey, thanks man. :)

It was a straight buy by my dealer. We drove up in a used car to grab the Explorer. The used one was a 2017 Focus. That was the one that I was driving when I got creamed.

    Re: No run trim protection?

    Good info.

With the McKee's, I apply it roughly every 8 weeks.
