    Re: Sticker glue help

You might have to polish afterwards but there is a 3M pinstripe removal tool sold here that worked to get the worst of my badge residue off after I got what I could off with WD-40. I replaced the...
  4. Re: Car Pro Dlux - still ok to use with this date on it

It was still clear. I used it as a topper for solution finish on bumper trim and other plastic on 2 Toyota trucks. Also used it on the headlights on both trucks after I polished them. It was a little...
  5. Car Pro Dlux - still ok to use with this date on it

I found an unopened bottle of Dlux with a date of 2016 on the box. Been stored in a cool garage cabinet. Still ok to use or trash?

Re: Do you use face mask doing detailing?

Yes! Anytime there is product in the air from application or removal. Iíve had several sinus infections years ago from not using PPE. Have not had one since I started using it.
  7. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Ceramic Trim Restorer

I have used all of those. I’m going back to solution finish. It has the deepest black on my trim and lasts several months. Next application I’m going to top it with Dlux to see how much longer it...
  8. Re: 15 y/o Truck Never Detailed...Compound or Damp Sand?

Start with the least aggressive method on a test panel. The tailgate is about the perfect size for that in my book. You can go more aggressive if you arenít happy with the results but itís hard to...

    Re: Sticker glue help

It has to sit on the goo for a bit and usually takes several application/wipe offs to break down really old goo. A plastic razor blade also helps the process without marring your paint. Goo gone or...

    Re: Sticker glue help

WD-40 is a pretty good adhesive remover among its other qualities.

Re: Compound to use once a year by hand

Collinite Sapphire pre wax cleaner. Like a fine compound but easier to use. Contains no wax. You will have to apply something afterwards for protection.
  15. Re: PBL ceramic trim sealer as topper for Solution Finish

I applied the PBL to some trim and solution finish to other trim on same vehicle. The solution finish looks a lot better than the PBL after about a week. I did use the PBL cleaner before applying...
  16. PBL ceramic trim sealer as topper for Solution Finish

Anyone try this? Wonder if it might work. I have tried both separately and my .02 says solution finish gives a better, darker look to faded black . The longevity of solution finish seems to be...

  20. Poll: Re: FLEX XC3401 vs any of the new long stroke polishers???

Begs the question, would you rather use the 3401 for shorter time or long throw for longer period of time to get same results? Time is $$$ for those who do it for living.

  22. Re: So its getting into the colder weather now, I need to throw on some protection... suggestions?

I agree on the 476 or FK 1000 as second choice. Those of us that still use 476 or fk 1000 use it because it still works well. Sometimes we just need something to protect the paint without spending...

    Re: Non abrasive cleaner wax

I might suggest Collinite Fleetwax. Not sure on the abrasive part but it certainly cleans as it waxes
