Re: Another coating high spot question

I do this too. My wife thinks I'm crazy. My garage has translucent window cutouts, so my neighbors probably think the same. Haha.

Re: Another coating high spot question

Do you have a lighting rec? Like a scangrip or something? I have fluorescent lighting plus a big LED bar but I think my iphone flashlight is the best… either that or catch some natural light through...

So based on that, I probably just smoothed it out huh? I guess we’ll find out eventually. Haha.

Re: Another coating high spot question

So I actually fixed part of it I think.

I used some Griots Perfecting Cream on a light polishing pad and ran over one of the problem areas at low speed.

Then I cleaned it up with some prep and...

Re: Another coating high spot question

It flashed super quick on the bumper, and I felt like I had been wiping too hard and removing too much coating previously. So I probably didn’t wipe those spots hard enough. I may have used too much...

Re: Another coating high spot question

It's yellow and apparently very forgiving, cuz I kinda blew it. I will probably try the easy approach first.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Another coating high spot question

    Hey guys,

I found some threads on this, but many different answers. I just coated my ride with Wolfgang PROFI, and I have some high spots. Two of them I tried to fix, but I didn't get it right....

    Re: Sonax polymer. net shield

I love PNS. It's pretty much all I use. I have gotten an easy 6 months on panels I don't mess with much, but I also add some here and there where required. It's one of the more hydrophobic...

Re: Could PNS be ruining my microfiber?

You know what? I also got a top load HE washer about the same time as the PNS. I used to have a non-HE washer. I wonder if that’s a factor. I’ll try the APC route prior to washing.

Could PNS be ruining my microfiber?

Did a search and didn’t find anything. First I’ll say I might be being lazy... I wash all my rinseless, drying, sealant/quick detailing, etc towels together. I fell in love with PNS a couple years...

I’d say it looks pretty good.

Yeah I stole the idea from Cruz. I actually have Essence Plus (that was his deal), and the combo is awesome. I think PNS during wipedown would probably...

    Tried something new (pandemic boredom)

So I love PNS. But I have so many other products. So I tried a little hybrid approach. I sprayed a foam applicator with PNS, and then used it to apply Pinnacle Sovereign to a couple panels. Of course...

Hey one more PNS note... if you go that direction, go really light with the product. You can find some videos online. I recommended it to a buddy and he used it like a liquid sealant and he had a lot...

Another versatile polish is Optimum HyperPolish. It also provides different levels of cut based on the pad you use, and has zero dusting. I use it for just about everything short of totally jacked...

Re: Does everyone really need a $100+ DA buffer?

I got a the cheapest Torq originally, and I hated it. So I swapped for a G6, and I love it. I think a good tool makes all the difference, and I’m a total novice. I would not cheap out on the buffer....

Re: Optimum Hyper Polish and Pads

Good choice in OHP. In my experience, it works great with everything from a white pad (for light polish) to a microfiber cutting pad (for pretty serious correction). Orange is a nice middle ground. I...
