Re: portable washing machine for Micro fiber

Nice! This is something I will have to look into in the future.

Buying a new house with the fiance, and she has already told me I won't be using the new appliances for my pads/towels haha.

    Re: Best APC comparison

What dilution do you use to clean bugs off paint? From the strength of this stuff how you make it sound, my fear is marring.

Re: 2007 Mustang GT - Black Paint Help Needed

Sorry to nitpick, but not that the towels aren't quality--more so that they 'blend' of synthetic, if soft paint (or so I've heard), can cause scratching. If you're using an 80/20 blend, that is more...

Re: 2007 Mustang GT - Black Paint Help Needed

It sounds like your paint is super duper soft.

Since your paint is so soft, an IPA wipe down (I am assuming 50/50 with water mix) may be marring the paint. Hell--have you also looked at using...

Re: Milky staining on rims?? How bad is this?

These are OEM wheels. Thanks. That's what it may look like at this point.

Ironically, I did do just that....MF towel on my finger with the sonax max cut...did NOTHING. :(

    Going to try the...

Re: Milky staining on rims?? How bad is this?

Thank for that. Yea--the stains don't feel rough. Clear is still there. It's just damn hard lol. May even try wet sanding. We'll see. Powerball first with Sonax Max cut.

I do have a powerball laying around somewhere for when I had aluminum polished lipped wheels for an older Mercedes Benz I had years ago...

    I also have GG6...

Milky staining on rims?? How bad is this?

So I picked up these rims recently for a good price....but I failed to notice these stains on the wheels. They were pretty dirty so that probably covered it up. These stains are consistent on all 4...

I apologize--but I forgot to respond back to this! Thanks for the link. Makes it a bit easier to understand what is going on and why the 'pad stall' from the sounds of it.

Re: Underpowered BOSS 21 compared to GG6? Help!

I think you may be spot on with the hardware not being secure.

I think the washers put stress on the backing plate, and as a result has caused this issue.

I don't think the problem lies...

Re: Underpowered BOSS 21 compared to GG6? Help!

Re: Underpowered BOSS 21 compared to GG6? Help!

Yea. I think that's actually it....

In my case I think it's the backing plate that failed.

I say this because I actually finished the job on the car by switching to my bigger and maybe used...

    So finally finished up tonight!

The pics are not the best....but this is what I got.

I'd say I got about 90% of the scratches out during compounding. Used Menz 2500 and am happy with the...

Underpowered BOSS 21 compared to GG6? Help!

    Hi Guys,

So I tackled compounding my Audi on Wednesday. I was using my GG6 and my BOSS 21 (OG one purchased when it first came out).

After tackling the car with it, I was noticing I was...
  21. Re: Compounding and Polishing 2010 AUdi S4 - Phantom Black (SUPER HARD paint) Progress thread

Thanks! Yea--I agree. 1 size does NOT fit all. That's how I had to discover how much a PITA Audi paint is haha.

    Haha. Thanks man!

    Will do.

My only issue is with the Boss. I am wondering...
  22. Compounding and Polishing 2010 AUdi S4 - Phantom Black (SUPER HARD paint) Progress thread

So I decided to finally get around and compounding the Audi. I bought it last year and the strongest stuff I had was Menzerna FG400. Used that with Megz MF cutting discs....and it did...
  23. Re: Jescar - Bead It - leaving car in state where it attracts dust and dirt?

Yea--I think my first try out I went TOO Heavy.

I followed instructions....but think this stuff is super concentrated in retrospect.

I think you're right. This stuff goes a looooong way....
  24. Jescar - Bead It - leaving car in state where it attracts dust and dirt?

Applied bead it about a couple weeks ago. Not that happy with it. Initially it looked amazing but after the initial application I noticed I missed some spots on wiping it off on glass. It I guess got...
  25. Re: Been out the game for a while...but love me my Menz PowerLock. What helper spray wax goes well with it?

I feel like a strange film of the spray sealant since I did it for the first time some weeks back.

    I gave her a bath...
