Also make sure to mark the back of your pad/backing plate with a sharpie to see that it's spinning. A free spinning DA will stall if not flat on the surface and then the pad isn't doing anything.
Thanks. The reason I asked is when I'm doing a coating I want to avoid any and all lint if I can. Day to day it's not as bad but I still try to use towels that don't give me any lint.

Thin Pros are way nicer than CCS pads. And red is rarely needed, I bought one, still in the package. Even black I almost never needed. Orange and white are used a lot.
Essence+ was pretty mediocre in my experience. Didn’t do any fixing and reduced the hydrophobic behavior by a lot. I even tried more than once in different cars and still think it’s worthless.
