  1. Re: Anything different about cleaning and protecting a farm tractor?

Usual stuff. The paint is typically single stage enamel. I would recommend an AIO like 3D Speed or Blackfire One Step. A good strong degreaser to clean around engine, grease zerks, wheel hubs, and...

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

I stayed in my pajamas and worked on painting these beautifully sculpted Exorcist busts.

  3. Flex "Pixie" PXE80 extensions and attachments?

Does Flex, or any aftermarket company, make extension shafts for the Pixie? I love the tool, but could get more out of it if I had some extensions and other attachments.
  4. Re: Any recommendations on a cordless blow dryer?

I own an 18v Milwaukee three speed blower. I bought it because I already own Milwaukee tools.
  5. Re: Review: BLACKFIRE Mat Cleaner & Protectant

Below is my review after using it for a year. It's a long-term review.

I bought this product to try over my regular APC a year ago. It was a new product and generally technology and chemistry...

    Re: Window cleaning trick

Windows aren't great, but myself personally can't stand glare on my windows. Particularly at night while driving.
  8. Re: The simplest thing can gain a customer.

I DO answer my phone. When I'm working on a vehicle and it rings, it can go to voice mail. Voice mail is nothing to be scared of. In today's "on the go" and "instant gratification" society...

    Window cleaning trick

My customer have had their vehicles to two different dealership detailers in town. Unfortunatley they streaked/contaminated the absolute hell out of the inside of their windows and I was contacted to...
  10. The simplest thing can gain a customer.

I just wanted to share an experience I had today with a customer. I started up in July this year. I asked my customer how he had found me. He said a Google search. I was the SECOND phone call. ...
  11. Re: What are those speckles/pinholes on my paint surface

I build models as a hobby. The proper name for this is "The Strap-On Thingy".:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
  12. Re: What are those speckles/pinholes on my paint surface

It's common in 90% of the factory paint finishes I have seen and worked on. Usually most visible in a non-metallic color. There's no getting it out. Don't OCD over it.

    Re: Need a 1" polisher

I've made some tight areas clean with my Nano. It's a good tool and has its place. I need to buy the extension for it.

Re: HELP ME MAKE UP MY MIND

Have my hands on both tools during Mike's three day class, I'd buy the Griot's all day long over the Rupes. There's nothing wrong with Rupes, but bang for the buck in my personal opinion, the...

Re: Need some expert help on what is next

Are you inspecting your towels when they come out of the dryer? I can tell you first hand that I visually inspect, and then feel, my mf towels on both sides and pick a lot of things out of them...
  16. Re: LIVE Dr. Color Chip Detailing Class! Thursday, November 19th at 3:00pm Eastern Time

I have the 80 color kit. It's a great product, and I was able to help a fellow detailer with a Camaro that had serious road rash and other chips. The customer was very pleased.

Re: Need some expert help on what is next

After reading your post the first thing I read is that you are not properly washing/drying your car. If you are hand washing and drying, you should not be getting swirls which leads me to say you...

I live in North Dakota where it's a fridgid wasteland 6 months out of the year. LOL. My winter prep is a strip wash to remove any old sealant, clay to remove any contaminants giving less adhesion...

Following up on this, there is a huge bang for your buck with a bottle of Blackfire Pro Ceramic. I coated my wife's Buick Enclave and our 10 year old Highlander (daughter drives), and possibly still...
  22. Re: Mildew (?) on white paint, how to correct

Without knowing all of the contributing factors, I am going to say bird droppings and etching from that. Cut or polish them out.

    Re: Dr. Beasley's Nano-Resin coatings

I would say yes it will based on what's remaining in the bottle after I finished my car, but I'm a full subscriber to the "It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it"...
