Re: Need advise---what should I get?

DLUX is a plastic and wheel coating. Will work fine on calipers.

You have plenty of wheel coating and high heat options. Gyeon Rim, Gtechniq C5.

You would probably be ok using what you have.

Re: Topper for Kisho 901 coating?

You could probably use either one. Beadmaker is used by many with a coating.

You also have Carpro EcH20 as another option. If you want some protection then Carpro Elixir is a good option for...

    Re: 2021 Trim Test

I have used tuf shine tire coating. I ended up giving it away to a forum member on here or Autopia. I can't recall which forum. It is ok. I have tried it from 2 coats to 6 coats and no matter...

Had a couple comments to request Perl be used undiluted.

Made that update to the panel.

Just a quick update to get an initial performance of each product.

Perl is gone after a week and one wash.

Re: How long does CarPro CQuartz keep?

I agree with Rsurfer. Invest in the newer coatings of theirs as technology in both of the cquartz coatings has changed.

Scangrip handheld. If you want something locally then the Braun handheld from Harbor Freight which is similar to the first generation Scangrip.

Re: Where not to spray iron remover on exterior?

Glass is ok. Avoid plastic trim and rubber trim. Those can sometimes get stained. I don't spray it on headlights either but any overspray never caused issues.

    1:3 just as CarPro recommends.

    2021 Trim Test

I had a spare plastic panel that I decided to use for a test involving different coatings and sealants. This panel was formerly an interior panel.

I will be leaving this piece of trim outside...
  16. Re: Blackfire black edition ceramic coating / shelf life once opened

Clean the top of the bottle before resealing the bottle. Reseal it tight and put it on your shelf inside to keep it out of temperature extremes and you will be fine. The shelf life should be fine...

Mike gave you many good resources.

In short you are going to need to prep the surface to your liking.

    2. Chemical Decontamination aka iron remover

Re: Topper to add to 303 Graphene for slickness

The graphene buzzword is strong lol. I agree with you though. The benefit of a spray product is its ease of use at any time.
  20. Re: KILLER CAR WASH - Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Coating Wash

I made this video a couple weeks ago. Yes this soap does indeed do what it says in leaving protection. The strong beading has diminished quite a bit in 3 weeks time.

Remove wheels to coat W/ Gyeon Q2 rim?

Only way to do it if you want to get the inside of the wheels. So yes go for it.

Yes the tire cleaner will degrade the tire cleaner faster than simply washing them. I have used the tuf shine tire coating and all I use on them is soap and water with a soft bristled brush to keep...

Re: Alternative to PNS / BSD?

PNS is hard to beat. It has coating like behavior. BSD on top again is just as comparable as a coating maintenance product. I know everyone likes slickness but I would take the performance of the...
  24. Re: So APC or Degreaser all around safe versatile cleaner?

It will clean them but not restore them. The plastic will age just like exterior trim. Dressing them like you did is a good way to keep them looking dark.
  25. Re: How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

Thanks for that write up Mike.

I actually kept my porter cable as it was sidelined for some time as I had ventured off to other machines. I have since started to use it again, primarily as a...
