Re: Black & tan trim restoration

Give is a coating of CarPro Dlux or GYEON Q2 TRIM within the next 2-3 weeks. I like Dlux better as it's easier to use overall. It will lock-in the look for quite a while.

Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

First wash of the wife's new Mazda since it was coated back in December and the only wash of my sons car since probably November. Both came out perfect and of course the ceramic coatings are doing...

So a friend of mine Ben picked up a new to him daily last year after he had an accident that totaled out his previous SUV. He found a fully loaded and really nice Mazda CX-5 and a great deal was...

    Re: Drying Towel Scratches

Correct, ceramic coat and never dry the car with a "dry towel" Blow dry it first. Then use the damp towel to finish up.

I ALWAYS recommend a damp towel to start and use something like...

Re: IMO Best Looking Red out there now....

Perhaps but I've owned several Mazda vehicles and they've always been known to have thin paint. Online the most problems with Soul are over seas it seems. Needless to say, this is why my buddy...

Invest in a nice bright bigger head mounted one. Lots of choices. I have one from Lowes that is rechargeable or can use AAA's.

    Re: Sanding, polishing headlights...

You're welcome. Look into using a drill or a small rotary for sure. Hand sand where needed for safety / tight spots. The coating goes on and self levels nicely. No orange peel or texture. ...

    Re: Sanding, polishing headlights...

You're overthinking it and looking for perfection. The cracks you're seeing are likely in the plastic lens itself. They are simply crazing.

Here too, IMO, your doing too much. A...

Re: Microfiber DA pads vs Foam

Microfiber will cut better but the product is more important than the pad. Put some CarPro ClearCut or UltraCut on a microfiber and you'll have great results. Beyond that the best advice would...

    Re: Deepest wettest reflections

IMO its in the polish job not the final product. Depth is due to looking through the clarity of the clear. The more and thicker the clear, the greater the appearance of depth. Just like looking...

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Worked with my friend of 20+ years to get some Paint Protection Film (PPF) installed on my wife's Mazda as Soul Red is notorious for chipping. Doesn't help that Mazda paints are so dang thin.
