  1. Re: Wheel Woolies Users - What size do you use most?

Anyone found a cheaper version of these? They are super pricey up here :(
  2. Re: Looks like its past the point of no return or just severely oxidized? Can it be fixed?

It may come back but won't last. My '04 TJ had paint like chalk and would polish up decent but only last for a few months before going back to chalk.
  3. Re: Weird discoloring on factory Tonneau, could this be from my Carpro products? Any fix?

How long has the coating been on it? I'd guess its not there anymore at all...

    Re: Tire shine for knobbys

On my Jeep TJ with 33's I'd just use 303 protectant when I wanted them to look decent. Spray it on, give it a lil wipe and use a brush quick, then another quick wipe so it wasn't to shiny.
  5. Re: Thoughts on Sonax pads vs. Lake Country vs. Flex pads?

I wonder if Sonax and Flex pads are rebranded from someone else?

    Re: How to Polish Glass

    You've probably seen this post:

Glass polishing - How to remove scratches in glass

I finally did my window that was scratched up after reading that, and it turned out great.
    It is messy, I...
  7. Re: Catagory 12 - Past the point of no return by Mike Phillips

I should post up the pics of my 2004 Jeep TJ I had. The paint looked exactly like that Hillman. I brought it back with Meguiars Ultimate compound, polish and wax, but it only lasted a few months or...

    Re: Car carpet hole repair

You could cut it out and put in a same sized piece like they do carpet inside your house. It's then fused in place with an iron and carpet tape.
Don't think it will last to long in a car though...

Re: Best wash soap for harder water?

    $33/gallon CDN.

I'll save for some ONR or try this stuff I guess.
Thanks for all the tips and suggestions all :) Keep em coming!

Re: Best wash soap for harder water?

That is 1.7x the price of ONR up here :( Stupid Amazon rip off prices here...

I'm going to have to watch for sale on ONR (doubtful, lol) or even stock of it from autoobsessed or anywhere else up...

Best wash soap for harder water?

Any suggestions for a good soap to wash my car regularly? I've been using microfibre mitts, and Meguiars Gold Class and Mothers Cali Gold wash soaps, but our water I think is on the harder side so it...
  14. Re: Buff & Shine Euro foam vs regular Lake Country flat pads?

Yah, I'm still learning this stuff again. Wasn't this kind of selection/products when I had my first car lol.
  15. Re: For those who have done many interiors, has anyone seen fabric like this?

Asking around upholstery shops (esp. automotive ones) would be the best bet I'd think. Email or visit them? (probably not the answer your looking for, sorry.)
  16. Re: For those who have done many interiors, has anyone seen fabric like this?

Looks like a twill weave to me.

Re: Are SiO2 Products Any Good?

I thought silicon products weren't wanted around vehicles anymore due to bodyshop/paint issues etc?

Re: Must Have Microfiber! At least my opinion :)

I did clay it first. I'll have to delegate these cloths to Compound removal as Mike suggests I guess, and see what else works for the wax...

Re: Must Have Microfiber! At least my opinion :)

I bought some Griots Garage PFM Wax Removal Towels to remove the Meguiars Ultimate Wax I put on my car and hated them :( They were so grabby it was wayyy to hard to take any wax off with them, even...
  21. Re: Looking for a carwash soap that DOESN'T have wax in it, sell me on YOUR favorite!

I guess our water here is hard? The soap never seems to suds much at all. Any suggestions for a more sudsy one?

Re: Help build a G9 “kit”

I just went through the same thing as you deciding what to get about a month or so ago, brianc636.
If I had access the same deal as you can get on the GG6 now, I would definitely have gone the same...

Re: Center cooling hole in foam pads

Car turned out pretty nice, even though there was the paint blown in on a few spots I could see the outline of on the DS :/ (see my other thread.) I followed some of the advice from SWETM and others...
  24. Re: Help! Compounding car and noticed paint has been blown in sometime in the past!

I chickened out of the wet sanding for this round :)
I just compounded it and polished and its a lot better then it was, though you can still see it in some spots. I didn't go heavy on them though...
  25. Re: Questions about pad selection (B&S Euro foam)

Yellow or Orange pads seem very similar to me with the Ultimate Compound. Though in my learning I was overdoing the amount of UC on them initially and over working the pads a bit too. I wonder if I...
