Re: Wolfgang Ceramic Spray Over WDGPS

If I were to top WG CSC with itself every month or two, I would use Reset as my main wash and wouldn’t worry much about the re-application. The product doesn’t apply finicky like a true coating...

    Re: Sealant comparison

    @RippyD
In post 541 you mention that Ultima Waterless Wash has been on for 8 weeks, but it seems to be applied on 8/29, so actually only 3-3.5 weeks, correct?

Maybe I’m missing something or maybe...

Re: Wolfgang Ceramic Spray Over WDGPS

Dmiglio knows his stuff. There’s different ‘levels’ of toppers that could be used with WG Ceramic Spray Coating (CSC). Attempting to list them from most substantial to lightest:
    WG Uber SiO2...

    Re: Griot’s 3-1 Topper/Maintenance

I agree with all this, not that anyone can’t top with whatever they want. I wouldn’t hesitate using a ceramic spray topper like 3-in-1 every few weeks or monthly as a drying aid. If you love the...

Re: Products like Gyeon can coat

Definitely not a direct or linear correlation. I think it has a lot to do with solvents/carriers for bonding agents (thank you WillSports3).

But I think one can assume that true coatings which...

Re: 1991 Chevy S-10 Pickup Truck

That truck is amazing! Interior gives me fo d memories of my dad’s 1991-ish GMC Safari work van. You don’t see many vehicles like this around and it looks so glossy and pristine now.

    It must be...

Re: Which Paint sealant for my truck

And no CQ UK during any of this right?

Lol, sorry I had that in my head. And you will really like WG SiO2 I think. It’s amazing but just won’t last as long as a coating lite like Cancoat.

Re: Which Paint sealant for my truck

Sorry, I was under the impression that UK3.0 would be on, then WG SiO2 Paint Sealant. Therefore I think WG SiO2 PS would be partially degraded after 4-5 months and then some strong cleaning (but no...

Re: Which Paint sealant for my truck

I think you would be OK using CanCoat in 4-6 months. WG will be weak by then. I wouldn’t polish, that’s going to remove your coating! Give it Reset wash for a few weeks prior or a coating prep wash...

Re: Does AG have 30% off?

Better beading/sheeting from Griots 3-1 for sure. Not sure on longevity but both are pretty decent from what I hear. I haven’t seen either live a full life though.

Re: Does AG have 30% off?

Do you recall when that 50% off sale was? I hit up the one before quarantine but hadn’t seen one since it started (for us in mid-March).
  14. Re: Been out the game for a while...but love me my Menz PowerLock. What helper spray wax goes well with it?

Hot water wash (works for all my towels although some will say you shouldn’t) with your detergent. And next time using as an applicator, can you make a little bucket or dish and put hot water in it...
  15. Re: Review: Dr. Beasley's NSP Z1 - One Step Primer & Nanocoating with Ti02 & Si02 + Composite Engineered Abrasives

Similar question: Hybrid Solutions Polish and Wax and Mckees 360 One Step are AIOs that leave behind ceramic sealants. Is this product in that same vein, or is it claiming more of a true coating...
  16. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Ceramic Coating Pro

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thanks, and yes! I first noticed I wasn’t happy with these panels on an overcast day. Lightly polished them, recoated and did the best I could to ensure smooth application with shade on a sunny day....

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I did some rework on a partially sloppy coating attempt. 3 panels including the hood recoated with CQ UK due to smeary-looking finish (high spots) on black paint.

    What a difference proper...
  21. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Compound, Polish and Diamond Surface Prep Spray

I believe you can use the PBL polish as an equivalent alternative to Pinnacle Finishing Polish. It is PBL’s ‘finishing polish’, but probably has a bit more cut for when it’s needed. I have no doubt...
  22. Re: Review: Pinnacle Black Label Compound, Polish and Diamond Surface Prep Spray

The Surface Cleansing Polish has no abrasives, so don’t expect even light scratches to be impacted or jeweling with a finishing pad (assuming I’m thinking correctly that jeweling would remove some...

Re: Coating Flash Times —- Confused
