    Re: Major letdown

I have had the exact same scenario play out and if I did not want to wait for my backordered products, I would contact them and ask them to ship what was in stock.

Interesting to say the least. Sub’d to hear if anyone has ran into this before.

    Re: Tire coatings

I believe it did come from FL. Been so long since I ordered my gallon. FWIW, whenever I coat tires I do a final wipe with kerosene. Even if I machine scrub the tires 5 times. This has made a HUGE...

    Re: When coarse isn't enough

You may also want to look into some fiber pads to do your cutting with. Check out LC purple wool and the Rupes wool. Will help with pad rotation and cut more than the blue Rupes foam pad.

Re: This is why I'm a fan of CanCoat

CanCoat is incredible. I have had many vehicles get upwards of 12 months from it as well. Looks good and just works!

    Re: Griotís BOSS Microfiber Pads

I 100% agree Mark. I could never really get on the band wagon of using MF because I hated how they hopped around the machine or matted so bad after every pass. The BOSS pads are truly the only MF pad...

Re: Touchless Car Wash Safe for Coatings?

I would suggest that when you do go through a touchless, just use the most basic service. I would not add all the wax & sealant crap. IME, they don’t always rinse great so the fewer chemicals they...
  13. Re: Canít seem to get my wheel clean! Any suggestions would be great!

If you have a product like IronX, I’d try that and let it sit for 3-5 minutes, agitate with a small brush and pressure wash it off. Could also try Tarminator in the same man or, just make sure to...
  14. Re: Orange Peel remained after orange peel pad use

Totally agree with Jim/Dr Oldz. If you want your paint show car flat, you have to sand it. I have used the denim and velvet pads many times in the past, but feel they are more suited for blending...

    Re: Microfiber Polishing Towels

Another thing to keep in mind is being able to see any dirt/debris in your towels. Especially if you want something for your paint. I would suggest using lighter colors as it’s easier to see if...

Re: Catching up to "modern" times...

I personally love Hyper Polish. I buy it by the gallon. It’s very versatile. Since you are still impressed by OPT, I’d just get a bottle. Especially if you plan on recoating.

Great work. Did you find out what all that contamination on the paint was?

That’s legit Mike. Incredible work. My back hurts just thinking about how many hours it would take to perfect that black beauty!

Re: Sonax bsd the most hydrophobic spray lsp?

Glad I read all the way through. I was going to suggest this. When I began mixing it, I used V07. Now I use BM and works just as good. Yes the durability is cut a little short, but if you use it...

Re: Cleaning new tires - white haze?

I wipe with Kerosene to make sure I’ve stripped whatever might be lingering. Then a final round of strong tire cleaner to make sure everything is flushed away. This has worked very well for me for...
