    Re: Ceramic Coat Damage (?)

    Ok, good info.

But that big "fish eye" defect would be cause to pitch a b!tch to the dealer. JMO

    Re: Ceramic Coat Damage (?)

I work for a dealer, and more cars/trucks than you would like to know come off the transport rigs with damage.

Ours go to very good body/paint shop, but to be honest, this is never disclosed to...

Re: Ceramic vs. Wax - Can We Cut To The Chase?

    LSP: Last Stage Product.

Meaning the last thing you apply. (Wax, sealant, hybrid, or coating). :)
  6. Re: Anyone like and use 3D One Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish?

Mike, this reminded me of some users referring to ONE as "oily".

Is this the reason for the removal issues you mentioned?
  7. Re: How do I eliminate rust on brake hubs and calipers?

If you paint them, they will just rust through again unless treated first, Jay.

    Google Ospho. :)

Re: How many waxes do you have?

    Blast from the past. Lol

I'm not sure I even know how many I have without taking a detailed inventory, but off the top of my head:

    *Meg's NXT 2.0

    *Collinite 845 & 476s.

    *Griot's Best of...

    Re: Ceramic Coat Damage (?)

Looking at those defects (and the ones surrounding them), that looks like a bad repaint job.

Re: Software Experts? - ZOOM is Malware

There was a story on the news here in NY recently that said they were terminating the online schooling using ZOOM because of "serious security issues".
  11. Re: Anyone like and use 3D One Cutting Compound and Finishing Polish?

I have only used 3D Polish, and Speed.

But, if ONE is anything near as easy to use as those two, I'm sure it is a winner.
  12. Re: Don't use a rotary buffer to buff out a Motorhome or RV - HOLOGRAM CITY

Just looking at that huge rig makes my back ache.

How long did the entire job take you guys?

Re: Ceramic vs. Wax - Can We Cut To The Chase?

I always thought it was the amount of beer I may have had (allegedly) consumed that "bent the light". ;)

    Great post, Mike.

I have never missed an episode of Graveyard Carz. Mark Worman is my man!!

  17. Re: Recommendations on polishing products to start with?

To be honest, the Orange pads are always my go-to's.

Try and work early in the am, later in the day, or on a cloudy day. All of those help.

Also, I would consider the Griot's Correcting...

Re: How to avoid germs - Gas Station

Re: Ceramic vs. Wax - Can We Cut To The Chase?

But....... Some of us here do not mind, (rather enjoy) the application of fresh (non-coating) LSP's every 6 months.

This enjoyment also includes the peace of mind of not having to deal with the...

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Check your pre-packaged popcorn label for Propylene Glycol.

It's on there. It's also the main ingredient in "Non-toxic" antifreeze.
