  1. Re: Ceramic Coating Experiment! Am I just wasting time and money?

I know I'm late to this thread but, like Paul (Mys) said, I both read every word and appreciated this experiment. Thanks DMig!

Also, I think you have us plenty of updates.

  5. Re: Can a Rinseless Wash Soap be used for a normal 2BM Wash?

When I use ONR I use the 2 bucket method with only 1 wash mitt. I haven't tried the multiple MF towel method but certainly understand the concept.

  6. Re: Did my First polishing with porter cable xp 7424 HELP

    Good post, Mark.

I'm guessing it's fairly hard paint and I would be upping the aggression a bit with Menzerna 400, Sonax CutMax or Wolfgang Uber Compound.

Yes, clear coat is thin however even a...

Re: Regreasing Original 7424, NOT XP

Yes, again, not a huge difference but noticeable enough to feel. I have a PC 7336 so it's old! I don't use any pads bigger than 5.5" on it.

I do find it stalls on more radically curved panels a...

Re: Regreasing Original 7424, NOT XP

I switched the counterweight from 6" to a 5" for using my 3.5" pads on my PC. There isn't a big difference but there is a slightly better feel with smaller pads.

    Re: Menzerna Powerlock Prep

My short answer to your question is, in MY opinion, yes, its ok to just lay down some winter protection.

Do the baggie test and see if it needs to be clayed. If it does, clay it. I ALWAYS...

Re: applying Ceramic coat over Zaino CS

Zaino products, I believe, fit squarely in the sealant category. In my opinion you want that completely removed before applying any coating. You never apply a coating on wax or sealants.

    Re: Happy Birthday fly07sti!!!

OMG, just had to change my scivvies!

I use my punch and not my cutter on premium smokes like that. I like a nice, clean cut to extract the flavor of damn near every inch till my lips burn.

    Re: BF One Step Topper?

I'm a huge fan of staying in the family of products and would most likely grab a BF LSP.

HOWEVER, if Mike likes Sonax PNS as a topper for BF AIO then I'd be all over that also.

Re: Not happy with headlight results

I finish with at least 3000 and sometimes 5000. Depending on how hacked up they were to start with, I rarely go any lower than 600. I then use a compound like Menz HCC 400 or Sonax CutMax and cut...
