    Re: Jet ski pricing

I did one of the same model (I think) earlier this season. The client wanted it ceramic coated. There is some kind of strange finish on these things and you cannot use any kind of solvent or strong...

    Re: Forum Spammers

I think people in countries likes India have a lot of free time on their hands. I get at least 5 or 6 emails per week from there to optimize my website or some other crap. Then when you get sms...

Re: Optimum Tire Protection Coating (TPC)

Mine has been on for about 3 months now. Still looks like it did when I applied it. So far, I like this product.

Re: Looking for feedback on my logo.

Yes but large brands like that spend fortunes to establish their name and make sure people know who they are and what they do. For a small business, that is a very bad idea... you would rather spend...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

4 day work week-end for me. Friday was easy, just an exterior detail with tar removal. Took 3 hours to do. Yesterday was a long day, ceramic coating on a Lexus RX350 with 1 step polish and 3 hours...

Re: Looking for feedback on my logo.

I hate to give bad feedback but I would rethink the name and get a graphic designer for you. Even if you use fivver and only pay a few bucks, they should be able to come up with something better...
  8. Re: All I can say is WOW! I couldnít believe my eyes.

Protection is not the only aspect that comes into play when you rate a product. If you look at ads in the 1950s, they claim 6 months durability on the waxes... that aspect has not changed unless you...

    Re: Customerís Truck Arrives Muddy

I never charge extra unless I have arned the customer about it before hand. And that is a very rare thing for me.

The way I see it, it's my job to inspect the vehicle before I ask the client to...
  10. Re: Canadian Maintenance & Correction Procedure

    Welcome to the forum.

First, doing a compound twice a year is overkill and is not good for the durability of your paint. Every time you compound the paint, you remove a small layer of it. Modern...

Re: Using Vinegar to remove water spots

Why? Clearcoat is not vulnerable to acids. Also Wheel Brightener is not that acid. I can't remember who printed the numbers on the forum but it's PH was 5.5... hardly acid at all.

Re: 7 year old meguiar scratch x

I have 7 year old M105 and M205. Still working well. I have had products going bad over the years, but usually they just separate in the bottle. If you shake it well, I am confident it will still...

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

Possible. I had issues with Meg's hybrid ceramic wax today. It was streaking like crazy no matter what I did. I use it dilluted 7:1 and have not noticed issues before... maybe there were but the...

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

The only time I have had issues with ICE Spray Wax was when I did not wipe it off quickly. Just re-apply and wipe off in those cases.

I usually use it liberaly, spraying over entire pannel then...

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

It created high spots, so I had to polish them off and re-coat. Thankfully, it was a repair job on a coating, so only 2 pannels had to be re-done. If I had done an entire car I would have been...

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

Well, people at PBMG are not idiots. If people like a product because it performs well, it is in their interest to carry it in their stores.

TW used to have only crappy products. Now that they...

Re: Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

That is the idea of putting a sealant on top of the coating: protect the coating while it's curing.

Re: Best wax remover for plastic trim?

There you go. It's not the product, it's the tool. The toothbrush bristles are perfect to get into the texture of plastic, so as long as you have some kind of degreaser, it will remove that residue...

Re: Will my tires ever be clean

Yes some tire compounds are probably more absobant than others. I am guessing that performance tires with soft compounds probably absorb a lot more products than regular or high durability tires...

Re: Best wax remover for plastic trim?

A toothbrush with a degreaser should remove the wax in no time. Then just wipe with a microfiber towel.

Possible. Their website keeps giving me errors when I try to look up stuff, error 500 everytime I click on something.

Is Lite a 6 months coating?

Re: Will my tires ever be clean

What ever it is, it is impossible to remove ;) I have tried dedicated pre-coating tire cleaners, APCs, Degreasers, normal tire cleaners, solvants... no matter what I did, the surface was still slick...
