Re: New to detailing and excited to learn

    Welcome to AGO, dbow!!

Using the PB black hole, and 845 should not be beyond anyone's skill level. Unless you have the brain of a gnat, don't be worried. Lol

  6. Re: What Brand/Model of Foam Pad for All-Around General Use...?

I actually like my LC flats better than anything.

Mind you, I never have much correcting to do as I try and baby my paint as much as possible.

But like I said, my flats are always my go-to.

Re: How Often Should A DA Polisher Be Used?

    Agreed.

This is my exact method, actually.

I'll de-con, clay, polish with Speed in the spring, apply Collinite 476, and from then on mainly Uber RW, or the occasional Meg's HW if the truck is...

Exactly. And the brushes aren't really expensive in the long run.

    You'll have them for years.
  15. Re: Resinous substance on the bumper, how do I remove it

    Goo-Gone/APC won't harm your paint.

Is that dried tree sap? If so, you may need to use a soaking action with something like 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover.

Yeah, I agree with you Rog.

I use about 10 on my Ram. And I always pre-treat each panel with my "secret RW sauce" Lol

  18. Re: Ceramic Coated Gel-coat after 8 months on the water!

    That is impressive, Mike.

I worked on boats for almost 30 years, and I know exactly what you mean about the Gelcoat re-oxidizing. Awesome job on that!

Oh, and what a boat Brian has. The...
  19. Re: What Brand/Model of Foam Pad for All-Around General Use...?

Lake Country makes great pads. I have a ton of them, and a few other brands as well. But I always end up going back to my LC's.

Boss pads are awesome, but a little pricey. (But worth it....)

Re: What pads to buy for Griots G9?

Also, and to paraphrase a post by Mike in another recent thread........

Pad longevity is subjective. Are you a pro or a hobbyist? How many of each pad do you have?

If you only have 2-3 pads...
