Re: Been away for awhile.......what new?

The Griot's machine is still regarded as one of if not the best dual action machines. The trend during your absence has been longer throw DA's (Flex, Rupes and even the Griot's BOSS G15/G21...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Wetsanded and polished out the wife's headlights. 2013 Nissan Sentra. They were just starting to cloud up.

Applied 2 coats of 2K clear coat when done.

  12. Re: Do black cars really need products specific for black paint?

In my experience I have found some products appear better on my black DD as far as LSP's.

  14. Re: New car - What to do ahead of cquarts (not prep steps)

Bingo! My thoughts exactly on both previous answers.

Re: What do I need? So many choice!

You list clay and lube after the BF decon kit and the decon kit already has some lube and a clay towel.

My personal choice would be the Griot's machine kit. Better machine than the PC and that...

    Re: 3 inch polishers

The key for me was changing the counterweight for smaller pads as well. My old 6" CW was way too "throwy" with 3" pads.
