  1. Re: 1940 Buick -Before & After - EXTREME extreme Makeover!

Mike, what's with the application of 303 protectant on the tires using the Flex rotary and carpet brush? Never seen or heard of that before.

Re: Piano Black Interior Trim Scratch Removal

It's the same concept Mike talks about using something like a jewelling cleaner wax to finish off highly scratch sensitive paint. The slick feel makes wipe off less problematic. I thought Essence...

    Re: Color Mismatch

I agree that the color of painted plastic parts and metal parts will look different over time being exposed to sun. They don't always color fade the same. However, you are dealing with new paint.

    Maybe glass roof?

If it's on the glass I would try scraping it off with a razor.

Re: Piano Black Interior Trim Scratch Removal

I have done it both ways on the interior. It's usually too small for machine. On outside gloss trim I use machine.

    Re: Masking for Iron-X

Its the bare metal calipers that can change to a greenish color, but if you scrub the green film with your barrel cleaning brush it comes off. It doesn't really rinse off well without that agitation.

    Re: Car washing mistakes

I have stepped down from a step ladder or stool and stopped right into the bucket at least a dozen times over the years. Usually involves a nice tumble to the ground.

  12. Re: Traditional chemical Paint Cleaners to deep clean a coating???

I wonder what a hand application of M37 Paint Coating Prep polish or DG Squeaky Clean would do?

    Re: Still a good setup?

The force hybrid pads are much better than the CCS pads in my opinion on a geared rotation DA, but there is nothing wrong with the polishes or lsp choices. I was using SIP just this weekend on a...

Re: Detailing Tips for Honeycomb Grills ?

I hate the grills on some of the new Lexus'. You can waste an hour or two on those things
  17. Re: Do black cars really need products specific for black paint?

Every LSP you apply or layer on top of another LSP will change the way the light travels through the layers of LSP and clear coat and then back through. They will have different angles of...
  18. Re: Onr not taking dirt off or is it road film that it just canít get off?

That Purple Power Vehicle and Boat wash takes forever to rinse off. You think it is rinsed off until you realize that you can still see the rainbow effect at the edges of the sheeting water from the...

Re: McKee's 37 Hydro Blue on Exterior Trim

  21. Re: Can you apply a ceramic coating to old school single stage lacquer paint?

Re: McKeey's Plastic Trim Restorer = WETS?

I thought that maybe the WETS beaded water a little bit stronger and the M37 penetrated deeper and restored a bit better.
