I've signed up as a volunteer. They are doing a background check etc. They need thousands of volunteers in the larger metro areas. You get your shot on the first day of your work assignment. 21...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Now that I know! .... I try not to be a broken record and shoot the same cars week after week. I look for the new ones not seen weekly. There are 45+ Vettes a week at this show. Majority are C7's...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I was at a local car show admiring all the shiny objects! One thing I've learned, some people hate a shiny tire and prefer the dull dirty look!

Sticky: Re: How To remove Paint Transfer off your car's paint

That's the main reason I purchased my "Pixie". All my friends who visit have some sort of "rash" that I make disappear!

Re: Flex XCE 8-125 for production buffs?

Same issue with my Finisher. I took a skinny zip tie, cut it down to slip between the cover and dial to "lock it in" #6 speed.

Re: Review: Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax

Even in AZ, a cold night "thickened" up my IW sitting in the garage. It now stays in the house full time!
  10. Re: Do stones "bounce off" PPF, and not leave a mark?

Nice demo. My friend must have been traveling over 70 when his Xpel cut on his C7.

I was looking to replace my 6 year old PPF with something newer until comparing films on others C7's. They...

Re: Still use a waffle weave for drying?

I don’t feel they suck up the water as well and are not as soft....both subjective feelings on my part. I did a review here a number of years ago with both side by side.

    PFM drying trick I use:...

Re: Still use a waffle weave for drying?

I tried Twistress..... I gave them to a friend. Stayed with my PFM's.
  13. Re: Do stones "bounce off" PPF, and not leave a mark?

Most "pebbles" bounce. I've attached a 1/4" stone chip thru a thick PPF that did not bounce off my minivan.

I'm a believer that if you travel on the highway you need it. I installed it on the...

Re: Master blaster - who uses?

I might add I have a Milwaukee M18 450 CFM blower I use at a second home. Even with a pointy nozzle attached they just don't blow out the center caps and lug nut holes like the smaller Masterblaster...

Re: Master blaster - who uses?

For $40 grab it and hang it on the wall by your garage door. I love mine with 3 or 4 extensions to reach the cars in the driveway.

  22. Re: How many here are still using the Porter Cable DA?

My PC has a lot of air miles flying to relatives homes for holidays. It's been retired except for wood sanding and headlights since I bought a "Beast" 11 years ago.
