    Re: Gyeon can coat prep

Cool, I’m a double coat guy, too. For coverage, but also I swear I get slightly better performance just about every time I double coat.
  2. Re: Review: Pinnacle Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

Washed the tires last night, and then the morning I topped the front driver’s side with 2 coats Mckees Tire Coating.

Here are the two remaining VRCC tires:...
  3. Re: Review: Pinnacle Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

This probably makes more sense if you also plan on using for it’s normal use as well (assuming you can take the price to do interior, rubber seals, and tires.

    Re: Gyeon can coat prep

I didn’t know you were a double coat Cancoat guy, Guz. :)
  5. Re: SiO2 Ceramic Spray Sealant comparison test

FYI, I forgot that I applied these on Essence, initial post is updated.

    Re: Gyeon can coat prep

In theory, yes you should prep by polishing the TW off and then removing polishing oils... don’t use HD Speed. It leaves short lived protection behind.

Cancoat is also a coating topper and it’s...
  7. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

Check out Mike’s post above, BF is really nice.

My comparison of Uber vs UWW+ is that they are both excellent; Uber applies the easiest and leaves what looks like a very thin gloss behind. UWW+...
  8. Re: Question for mobile detailing guys with small vans?

Help this man if you can, and have time, please. He’s a good guy trying to get started.
  9. SiO2 Ceramic Spray Sealant comparison test

Mine is black sapphire metallic. Looking up the difference between your fave M color and my paint, from a BMW forum:

    Google pictures of Carbon Metallic:...

    Re: Tire coatings

Do you know where to get a vacuum sealer for typical 4-16oz bottles?
  11. Re: Review: Pinnacle Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

Yeah, I might. In theory it shouldn’t work, but why not try a tire and see what happens, right?
  12. Re: SiO2 Ceramic Spray Sealant comparison test

I would agree that WG is tossing water aside faster than VS1 in the early going. Go figure, previous tests had WG as not a great beader/sheeter for me. Although I’m beginning to wonder if...
  13. SiO2 Ceramic Spray Sealant comparison test

I figured “why not?” after correcting the X5 M. Roof was coated, polished with WG Finishing Glaze, then wiped with Kleen-Strip Prep-All a few times for prep, then CarPro Essence with Gloss Pads.

It’s supposed to help cat hair repel water, similar to duck feathers. The aqua phobic cats are said to appreciate the hydrophobic properties.

    Re: Tire coatings

No bueno. I was hoping since it’s acrylic that it wouldn’t spoil for many years. I have a ton left (large bottle). I’m going to go put it in an air-tight bag. As mentioned I hadn’t used it in...
  16. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

I haven’t tried the Kwazar, but the IK non-foaming sprayer does well for me, in case OP wants additional options. I do t think I’ll ever WW pulling a normal bottle trigger again (other than spot...
  17. Re: Question for mobile detailing guys with small vans?

As you know, I’m not a professional but these are good questions that I’m curious to see answered. If that’s your van in the avatar, it looks nice!
  18. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

This should not be the case. Trust the manufacturer’s dilution ratios and determine which product is a better lubricant as a completely separate metric than what the cost is. I’ve seen WWs that are...
  19. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

I agree. I have a gallon but only use it as a QD for touch ups or drying aids. Too costly for me to use 20+ oz per wash even by the gallon price (granted you can get the gallon a lot cheaper on...
  20. Re: Review: Pinnacle Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

I was waiting for someone to post that since the moment I took the first picture. I’ll be correcting the paint soon and should hopefully get to all the “unheralded” areas at that time. :)

  22. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

Price being no object, WG SiO2 is probably my favorite too. My fingers are crossed that maybe they make a concentrated version in the near future.
  23. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

Unfortunately I don’t have any experiences on PPF, carnauba or otherwise. Great question though. It only has very trace amounts obviously but definitely could be an impact.

    Hopefully someone...
  24. Re: What is your current favorite waterless wash?

Ech2O aligns with your LSPs. It’s not my favorite but is my favorite ceramic infused one.

As far as cleaning and gloss, my favorite is BF WW. As far as gloss alone, my favorite is Pinnacle WW w/...

    Re: Tire coatings

What you have should be the updated formula.

I needed Guz to snap my memory, I do recall a “New formula” tag on this product and I think I got it during that time. I got mine Christmas 2018...
