  3. Re: 1968 Cadillac Original Paint Detailing Class - September 2020

    Mike,

If you're only working on oxidized paint, would Barkeeper's Friend work the same/as well as the Comet ?

  5. Re: 2 ways to cover the fresh air grill on a classic muscle car

I dunno, I've had both coupes and roadsters, each has their +/-'s. A roadster with a hardtop ain't too shabby !
  6. Re: What should I use to protect Polished Aluminum Rims?

There is a product made specifically for this application but unfortunately AG doesn't sell it so ...

That said, a coating such as PBL Diamond Wheel Coating should work nicely.
  7. Re: 2 ways to cover the fresh air grill on a classic muscle car

I kinda cheated ... I knew it from prior posts (and pics) Mike has made about this car.

Plus, I have previously owned several "Mid-year" Corvettes.
  8. Re: 2 ways to cover the fresh air grill on a classic muscle car

1965. The two years look very similar but one distinguishing feature was the '66 has a Corvette Sting Ray emblem on the lower portion of the hood (on driver's side). It's the same emblem as on the...
  9. Re: Can one ceramic coat single stage paint??

I doubt it is urethane unless it was painted in the late 80's.

My guess would be acrylic enamel.

    Re: 1991 Porsche Carrera

On a 911-related note, check out this vid of Formula One Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff writing off a 997 RSR while running the infamous Nurgurgring Nordschleife. Toto was just an amateur racer...

    Re: 1991 Porsche Carrera

Great work as always Scott, and man, that's super clean for a 30 year old car.

Not sure what the Porsche designers were thinking though when they came up with that gawd awful rear backup light on...

I'm partial to Rainbow's Rising album as Blackmore and RJD were joined by the immortal Cozy Powell on drums !
  18. Re: How to remove wax from plastic/vinyl bumpers?

Can't personally vouch for the Blackfire wax remover, but I can say the M37 wax remover works.

Key to any of these products is to use a brush to work the product down in to the pores of the...

  23. Re: Now available - Dr. Beasley's Z1 Ceramic AIO Primer

They need to rethink the main product labeling (in red) on the Z1. At first glance it suggests only that it is a primer, along the same lines as 45/95/150.
