Re: The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Tony!!! Good to have you back and glad you’re doing well. I started a thread months ago asking about you, I’ll link it when I can(at work now).

    You were missed buddy!

    New car looks great and...
  2. Re: What should "water beading" look like?

Totally agree, the beading of C845 still looks amazing and if it wasn’t for coatings I’d say it makes some of the best beads as far as I can remember. It leaves a crisp bright finish and works great...
  3. Re: What should "water beading" look like?

What do you think of it?

I’ve heard nothing but great things, looks good in YouTube reviews and pics(paint finish and beading shots), but yet to have used it myself.
  4. Re: What should "water beading" look like?

    Exactly what I was thinking!
  5. Re: What should "water beading" look like?

Overall pretty uniform, some look a little more flat than others, some more rounded. For me, those are my indicators of beading performance, how tight(beading height and angle) and how uniform(how...

    Re: Post Your Beading Shots!!!

    Hahahah!!

Can always count on the Collinite Trio! I don’t use them as much as I used to unfortunately(laziness and SiO2 Spray craziness) but they’ve always performed flawlessly!

    Wonder if...

    Re: Post Your Beading Shots!!!

Last time I’ve seen beads so nice I had ordered a NY style pizza and smeared the slices all over the car.

Y’all keep your carnaubas, ain’t nothing like pizza grease!

I ate the Chicago deep dish...

Re: Need a new Quick detailer ( I think )

I seem to recall when reading about Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer, people have mentioned the Kenotek SRS as being quite similar. I haven’t used it myself but might be worth a look, it’s a very good...

Re: Mystery Van - What is this?

Hard to tell, my guess would be something from Toyota or Mitsubishi.

    I’ll do some research!

    Re: Left Handed Detaling

Lefty here too! The world wasn’t designed for us ergonomically it seems.

I write and eat left handed but my right is my dominant hand. I tend to be ambidextrous when using hand tools, but with...

    Re: Too many forum sections?

I’ve been on the forums many years and I can’t believe I’ve not used the “Get Daily” tab on a regular basis!

Maybe I never noticed it, but I always went a different route, which was “Quick Links”...

    Re: Hybrid Solutions validation.

They are wonderfully easy to use, high performing and pleasant smelling products.

Although I do all I can to support AG and Autopia, it’s nice to know products like these are available in a pinch...

    Re: Too many forum sections?

I’m guilty of requesting a regional sub-forum, as this is an extremely welcoming forum and thought it’d be a great way for people to set up car, detail or swap meets.

In saying that, I will also...

    Re: What's in your backyard?

A few years ago I worked with a budding astronomer and he taught me a few things about the sky.

He showed me a few planets that can be seen with the naked eye, Venus, Mars and Mercury almost year...

Re: Water Beading - How does this look to you?

Something tells me Mike will reveal the product which is making these beads and when he does, will be a surprise to us all.

I agree, nice looking symmetrical beads all around.

    Re: Clay Bar Question

    :iagree:

Very thorough and informative post! Well worded and I completely agree.

There may be times it’s not necessary, but if you plan to polish I’d wholly recommend it.
