  3. Re: Going to help a friend detail their new SUV

I looked at the 303 website and saw where it stated the 303 Graphene durability was 12 months. That is a pretty good duration even if it can get 6 months that would be pretty good.

  4. Re: Going to help a friend detail their new SUV

…and I love the CanCoat on my MDX so I may keep it. You have to be within 3 feet of it to even be able to tell it’s dusty…not dirty but dusty. I was thinking about the Megs or 303 for my daughter’s...
  5. Re: If you could start all over, what would your occupation be?

That is so funny. I know it may not be funny to you at that moment and I do believe we drivers should be more cognizant of our speed, but for most of us we get in a zone and if we don’t see kids...
  6. Re: Going to help a friend detail their new SUV

I agree. I was thinking about using the megs on my Sienna because I don’t plan on applying a true coating to it. I might look at the 303 since as of now I apply the Hybrid Solution Wet Wax after ever...
  7. Re: Going to help a friend detail their new SUV

In your opinion how does Meguiars Hybrid Paint Coating compare to the 303 Graphene as far as application, look, and duration?

  8. Re: If you could start all over, what would your occupation be?

An accounting/finance professor or a detailer. Either one of these would have been rewarding to me. I am a UPS driver now and the only rewarding thing to me here is a paycheck and the benefits,...
  9. Re: If you could start all over, what would your occupation be?

Ok Bob, now you are speaking my language. Years ago I walked in to the bathroom and my wife was listening to an evangelist on the radio and he seemed interesting so I asked her what his name...

You need to tell more than this cliffhanger you have left us with!
  11. Re: If you could start all over, what would your occupation be?

My brother says the same thing. I bet a lot of our vets think the same thing but when you are 25 and under 40 seems like a million years away. I've got a cousin who retired from the prison system at...

    Re: I hate black

I think that my early mistake with using an sio2 spray was using it like I would a quick detailer. I learned early on and every now and then forget that a little goes a long way.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Taking your son to see Maiden for his first concert I’m a little jealous…since I’ve never seen Maiden. If only they’d come close. My first concert was The Marshall Tucker Band and I was 14. They were...

    Re: I hate black

I truly believe black is the color to buy. No matter what, black just looks good when it is clean. I have a feeling you are getting streaks with the sio2 due to application technique.

    I have had...
  16. Re: Quick tip regarding wet/dry vacuum filters

I guess most can be cheap, but I can really be cheap. And my wife hates it because she says “you never want to spend a penny.” I want to tell her “yeah for every dollar I spend on my stuff you want...
  17. Quick tip regarding wet/dry vacuum filters

Thank you. Looks like I’m sold on the idea…and the call me El Cheapo Capitan.

Re: What creates "cloudy" looking paint?

I’d like to know how to get those clouds out of that paint? I suffer from the same issue and I try and try but to no avail they keep coming back.

Re: Glass cleaners with water repellant.

I currently use and have used for years D120 but a few years back I did buy the Pinnacle glass cleaner and coating (still use the coating). What is it about the Pinnacle that you don’t like? AG...
  21. Re: Need a really good bug melter - ECH2O doesn't touch bugs

I never knew American Detailer Garage or Fuzion existed. I really wish that Mike or someone from AG would do some videos showcasing products available on AG by category. There sure are a lot of...
  22. Re: Need a really good bug melter - ECH2O doesn't touch bugs

In my experience most bug removers do the job. Some will state to put it in your wash but I never do. I’m using chemical guys bug and tar remover wash and spray it on then let it dwell. Usually they...

Re: Help with Single Stage and Megs #7

I grew up with a couple of brothers whose dad was a paint and body man and then they followed up with the business. They all loved #7 and introduced me to Meguiars. #7 has been around a long time and...
  24. Re: Ceramic coating for preventing micro/mini srcatches?

A coating can be scratch resistant. Not scratch proof. From my own personal experience, a specific section (albeit a small section) of my hood is 100% defect free according to my eyes. I applied...

    Re: Removing Insects After/Wax

What I find works very well for me is whether I have a coated car or not I apply a couple of layers of Collinite 845 to the front. I’m sure any wax will work but I really like 845. Then every day or...
