Re: adams vrp vs CarPro Perl

Depending on the condition I would look at something like Wolfgang exterior trim sealant. If it needs restoration then solution finish topped with Wolfgang would be good.

Re: adams vrp vs CarPro Perl

They both won't last on trim that long. On tires they are about the same in terms of overall performance. Perl is more versatile as it can be diluted for other surfaces. If you are looking for...

Re: New to Paint Correction - Help!

When it comes to gloss well that will come from the polishing step. The wax, sealant or coating is just the icing on the cake. You will have to make the call on what you consider to be perfect...
  6. Re: Has anyone used the new 'restorative' MF detergents?

I have used both of these. I have stuck with R2R as my microfiber detergent going forward. It has brought back some life to towels. CarPro MFX did a good job but it is more comparable to Micro...

    Re: Brand New Wheel Coating

A coating won't add gloss. It will richen the color. I don't know which coating you are planning to use but CarPro DLUX, Gyeon Rim, 22ple VM1 and Gyeon Rim have all worked on matte/satin finishes. ...

    Re: CQUARTZ DLUX vs Cerakote

I have not used it either but I have seen many posts in a couple facebook posts of cerakote application issues with splotchy appearance and questions asking how to remove it. I have used DLUX many...

Re: New to Paint Correction - Help!

Nice color choice. Well my first question is do you want to go straight to a full blown multi year coating or would you like to start with a coating lite version which is just as effective. Sort of...

    Re: Marks after polishing

Do you have better photos. Hard to see what the issue is.
  11. Re: Reload as a sealant on uncoated cars - advice needed

Agreed. There are much better options than Reload. If you are going through all that prep go with Gyeon CanCoat and maintain it.

    Re: Brand New Wheel Coating

Panel wipe and coat. Coat them after the tires have been put on.
  13. Re: CanCoat Maintenance Product Cure vs Wetcoat

Cure has no cleaning ability but it can be used as a drying aid. Gyeon has a new ceramic detailer as well which will leave protection and may be all that you need. I have not used it.

    Re: Best Paint Prep Solution?

I would just take my chances and apply it over whats there if you donít want to polish given you chemically decontaminate and use the prep wipe of your choice. It will eventually become your main...

Re: Coating and the edges of panels

Wipe larger than your application area. When it comes to edges try working from the edge to center for the first towel. Then wipe as I first mentioned.

Re: Best LSP for dusty land

A garage haha. Fighting dust is a losing battle. I don't freak out if my car gets dust from sitting outside. I'll just wash it on the weekend. It's an endless cycle. Now the other in the garage...

Re: #&$#@& high spots in coating

Folks need to relax. A high spot is not the end of the world. They are to be expected especially when first applying. They are easy to fix. A medium cut polish is more than enough and simply...

    Re: Rinseless/waterless version of reset?

I have it and have used it. Here are a couple things to note. One it streaks on glass and the other is it negates a drying aid. Best to dry it completely off and come back with something.
  20. Re: CarPro Denim pad and Meguirs M105 not working on orange peel

You need many pads and they need to be cleaned after every few passes.

But it is possible to level some of it. A paint thickness gauge helps to have on hand.

    Iím leveling out some orange...
  21. Re: PIXIE (PXE 80) as replacement for Rupes Mini

I will be picking up a corded 3 inch polisher again at some point. Will go with the flex this time. Iím getting by with the PC 7424XP as a 3 inch but itís not as smooth on the hands.

    Re: Rinseless/waterless version of reset?

EcH20 does not leave durable protection. You would have no issue using it without interfering with the base layer. The SiO2 is for gloss enhancement. It is such a low dilution when used as a...
  23. Re: CanCoat Maintenance Product Cure vs Wetcoat

Stick with cure. It works well regardless if it doesn't bead as tightly as CanCoat. It is not that durable anyway. You will have less issue with Cure as those who use WEt Coat use too much and...

Re: CarPro Perl on Interior Trim Issues

You could always follow up with a damp towel and see if it helps to level it.

Next time spray into your microfiber towel or applicator and apply it. Come back with a second one to level it out.

Re: Struggling getting results using LHR15 MK3

You are going to wear those 3 inch pads quick on larger panels. Keep practicing with the LHR15. It should not take long to get the hang of using it and getting good results.

    Rupes has a...
