    Advice on Swirls

Just picked up this white elantra n, and was removing some grime off the hood. I really don't know if I did this or if it was already there. I suspect I caused it by cleaning off the bug and tar...

    991.2 Detail and Sealant

Nothing too fancy - two bucket method, dressed tires and finished up with bead maker ( not yet cured in these photos) . Took about 3 hours - two of which was hunting for all my stuff and getting the...
  5. Re: How To Use Carpro Reload on Black car with ppf

Finally got around to putting this on. I found it super easy to apply. Far easier than I thought it would be. Used a MF covered foam applicator block to apply as was suggested here, and then a mf...
  6. Re: How To Learn How to Get hard water / maybe tree sap residue off

So if these need to be buffed out, can it wait? Can I go ahead and put some reload on the car on top of this? Or is this something that needs to be buffed out right away? tks
  7. Re: How To Learn How to Get hard water / maybe tree sap residue off

  8. Re: How To Learn How to Get hard water / maybe tree sap residue off

  9. Re: How To Learn How to Get hard water / maybe tree sap residue off

  10. How To Learn How to Get hard water / maybe tree sap residue off

I guess our highlander got parked under a tree recently. Its been hand washed but I'm finding some spots, one of which I could not get out with either bug remover nor meguires scratch x.
    I tried to...

  13. How To Use Carpro Reload on Black car with ppf

Can anyone give me guidance on how to do this? Will be my first time. The ppf does not have a ceramic coating, or any coating currently. My car is black. I've heard for a black car you have to...

Re: New PPF, First Wash, Water Spots everywhere

Well I won't use the blower again. There are just so many spots, and I honestly thought I got all the water off. As many as there are, I just feel like I have no chance of having a wash without any,...

New PPF, First Wash, Water Spots everywhere

I recently had a full ppf done on my jet black 991. Today I washed it for the first time. I thought I was doing everything right, and the sun was not even out - mostly cloudy.

    I used soft...

Thanks everyone for the quick help. Yes super relieved!
  21. Re: brand new 911 Carrera, blemish / scratch? on very first day, nooooo

Good news. Took it to my ppf guy and he took care of it in 5 minutes. Turns out it was just on the surface. I don't think it even was into the clear coat.
Now let's just hope there are no paint...
  22. Re: brand new 911 Carrera, blemish / scratch? on very first day, nooooo

I don't think so. I can't say it goes "inside" it. There is definitely a bit of a "catch" of the nail as it goes over, but what seems to be causing the catch is whatever material is on top, rather...
  23. Re: brand new 911 Carrera, blemish / scratch? on very first day, nooooo

If that's the case, do you think you would be able to get rid of it without leaving swirl marks? In other words take care of it so that you would not have know it was there? Tks
  24. Re: brand new 911 Carrera, blemish / scratch? on very first day, nooooo

Just for arguments sake lets say it catches the nail. What can the dealer do? Repaint the panel? Tks
  25. Re: brand new 911 Carrera, blemish / scratch? on very first day, nooooo

I've been afraid to mess with it - thinking I may make it worse? I'm hoping to get the car to my detail guy tomorrow and finding out more. Tks
