  6. Re: Effect of Humidity on Ceramic/Graphene Coatings

Re: G8 as my next tool?

I believe that is their new rotary that uses the same body as the g8. It comes with 1" and 3" backing plates. 750 watts so it should be plenty strong.

    Re: new turtle wax

I just used it a couple weeks ago on my daily, a 2017 gti. It spread very easy, and removal was a breeze. Great gloss. So far, so good!
  9. Re: The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare

Maybe try a less aggressive approach. If you are new to 105, its a good product that works well, but can cause its own set of issues.

Subaru paint is fairly soft. I would try some 210 in the...

Re: New Rupes Bigfoot D-A pads

You may need to learn a little bit more about foam structure, manufacture, and design before you make such a statement.

Use what you have. They will work on the g9.
  13. Re: PFM Towel - anything "better" available in todays market for drying?

I bought the big yellow shop vac at Sam's for 75.00. I only use the blower, never vaccum with it. It's the best dryer I've used! Also, I don't think anything even comes close to the pfm drying...

Re: Pads? CG hex or Lake Country.

I think you will like the 5" plate and pads. Get lc orange flat pads, some gg fast correcting cream and you should be good on that Tesla clear coat.

Re: Should I clean my undercarriage or no point

Rinse the undercarriage with a marine product called "salt away".
There are several brands of similar products.
They help to alleviate the bonding of minerals to the surface.
    It really works well

    Re: wool pads

I agree. I have several rupes new wool pads. The blue and white with the new rupes heavy cut compound cuts like crazy, finishes out fairly nice.

    Re: Joining the IDA

In my opinion, the high cost of cars gives us a better shot at a successful career in this business.
As this industry progresses, more people will be interested in a professional certified detailer...
  19. Re: Bought a Griot’s G9, a couple simple questions.

I have a g9 I put a 5" plate on it for curvy cars. I left the 6" on the other, since it has tons of power and will work better on flatter panels.
I have not used my 15mm since I got the g9's.

    Re: Light Oxidation on camper

I would go with the Meg's. The gel coat on a camper is softer and will mar easily. We use 3d one with orange LC pads. Lots of them.
Top with a ceramic sealant .
  23. Re: If you could only use two or three product lines for all your detailing needs, what would you choose?

Griot's and 3D. That covers pretty much everything.
Like everyone else, I use many different brands.
