  1. Re: 2016 Infiniti QX50 Paint Hard, Soft, or Somewhere In-between?

I have an 06 FX35 and dont think it's particularly hard or difficult to prep-out. Responded well to the usual polishes and pads.

+1 get a decent mini-platform w/ folding/LOCKABLE legs. Ziptie some cut spongy pipe insulation to the long edges.

    Re: Winter prep and protection?

You may want to look at Sonax PNS (Polymer Net Shield) w/ intermittent topping w/ their BSD product.

I've also used Collinite 476/915 and am (this year) trying GTechniq C2V3 on my GFs SU.

    Re: Cleaning dead pedal

I'd start w/ vacuum, an all purpose cleaner followed by metal (alum safe obviously) polish on a stiff toothbrush (to get in and around the rubber nubs) and then re-evaluate if more is needed.
  8. Re: Hand pump spray foamer to wipe off winter salt

    Feynlab Rinseless

    For salt, I use CRC SX128 in a foam cannon w/ flexi-wand.

    Re: Best $10 Tire Dressing

Agreed. I've moved on from Opti-Bond Tire Gel.
  10. Re: Hand pump spray foamer to wipe off winter salt

I just mix up a gallon of water w/ 2x the normal ONR rinse less dilution and start by spraying that at the top of the panel simply to reliquify the crud and let it start falling off the panel. Make...
  11. Re: Hand pump spray foamer to wipe off winter salt

I use a regular hardware store 1gl tank sprayer w/ wand w/ ONR to pre-wet the panels before I even hit it w/ ONR & BRS for rinseless. It gets most of the crud off (at least where I live).

    Re: How to remove Aquapel

Interesting and good info if needed. I end up using about 7-8 paper towels to buff out an Aquapel installation.

Re: White Car + Tar/Oil = Unhappy owner!

Tar-X, Tarminator, Gyeon TAR or (favorite) Citrol. I probably will just use the others till they are done (or I'm bored) and stick w/ Citrol.

I'll at least give it a rinse but I also use Immolube which I will do a full (although 'quickly') wash to get it off

For that I use Plexus spray and the orange Carpro suede-ish towels which are silly soft.
  24. Re: Recurring haze on headlights of 2013 Subaru WRX STi

I have that but not used it yet. Hoping to do mine soon.
  25. Re: Recurring haze on headlights of 2013 Subaru WRX STi

You'll need something like McKee's Headlight Protectant Spray (use semi-regularly) or some other UV friendly sealant/coating.
