    Re: What ros palm sander?

All of our shops use Dynabrade palm sanders, i have never used the two you mentioned so i can't compare them

I will say i have had the same Dynabrade sander for at least 20 years and It's still...

    Re: Call to Ban YouTubers

Cancel culture is a cancer i would have hoped to never see on this forum.

If they post a video on the forum, maybe go to the comments section of the video

and let all of the viewers know how...

    Re: Blackfire one

Dr Oldz experience with one step is the same as i had with it.

The level of cut actually suprised me, and the finish was outstanding

I really can't speak to durability because i topped it with...
  10. Re: Need to Replace My Rear Bumper. What Issues?

    Hey mk9750

The paint match issue is very difficult and i don't have a good answer other than having it blended on the car.
  11. Re: Need to Replace My Rear Bumper. What Issues?

    Hey mk9750.

1, yes paint to match doesn't always match, you will usually have 3+ alternates for 1 paint code. Orange peel is usually not a big deal, unless its a tri coat color.

    2, behind...

That which enters must exit, let me recommend baby wipes. lol
  13. Re: Sorry, not a detailing question exactly, but I need help removing a windshield mounted phone holder

I would try a plastic razor blade, it may take a little work but it will come off.

I have had one do the same thing before.
  14. Re: What material are the Z71 door siill plates?

You are correct they are SS, and honestly i think you would have to put a clear bra type material on it

or just polish it regularly, the SS insert scratches so easily its almost a no win situation.
  15. Re: Review: BLACKFIRE One-Step Cleaner/Wax by Mike Phillips

I used the orange LC thin pro pads with my 21 MM da with great results.

Your paint will dictate what type of pad is acceptable, do a test spot with both pads

You may like the results of one pad...
  16. Re: Silicon Products + Bodywork/Paint Work issues

Silicone will definitely create fish eyes in paint, but normally it will all be sealed in after the first clearcoat job has dried.

I have had fish eyes come back coat after coat of clear, but that...

    Re: Pick 1 - Wax - Sealant - Coating

Synthetic sealant, i can get 6 plus months out of FK 1000, I'm going to polish my car at least once a year so no reason to go with a coating.
  18. Re: For those of you who have a Forced DA, when you you reach for your Rotary ?

Ditto to what Dr Olds said, the versatility of a rotary with all the pads and extensions make it a great tool.

Re: Clear Coat Question for the pro’s

My guess would be solvent pop, it could be wet sanded and polished out.

If it's factory clear, be cautious you don't have many mils to work with.

    Poll: Re: Chrome or Black?

I would go the plasti dip route, that way you could live with it for a while, and if you like it enough go with paint.

I like the chrome on my car, but my car is ruby red.

Re: Is this to the metal?

From your pic the underlying color looks light gray or green, that would be the primer or sealer.

I would just get some touch up paint and put on it.

    Re: Resin On My Hood

I have never used the technique in that video, it could work if the resin isn't bonded very well.

Thats not the technique I've used, and I'm afraid me trying to explain how to do it would be...
