    Re: Headlight protection options?

Personally I would install an Xpel headlight kit and top it with either CQuartz TiO2 or DLUX after, it will be super easy to install and last for years! You can get the film in smoke too

  2. Re: Putting together CR Team for Detail Fest Detailer's Cup - Filming on Friday, March 17th

Getting super excited! Talking with Andre about all of the cars increased my excitement level by at least 300%. Because excitement is obviously quantifiable [emoji23]

    Re: Dedicated Tire Cleaner

Have you tried optimum power clean? I normally use it 5:1 for everything, even tires unless I need to bump up to 1:1 which has never left anything to be desired. Would love to know what cleaner it is...

    Re: leaking quick connect coupler

Make sure the O Ring is seated correctly and of the right size... it to me sounds like there is debris, an unseated or mis-sized o ring, or lastly a bad female QDC which should be able to be found at...
  5. Re: New Member: Hydro2 vs .... : Hydrophobic Properties

Optimum car wax is also awesome for the same reason, and smells better [emoji12]

  6. Re: New Member: Hydro2 vs .... : Hydrophobic Properties

Hydro2 and reload are both SUPER hydrophobic. Hydro2 doesn't last super long but with how easy it is it's not a bad option for anyone who doesn't want to put in a lot of effort! I have used it for...
  7. Re: Putting together CR Team for Detail Fest Detailer's Cup - Filming on Friday, March 17th

I'm super excited to get to work with everyone! I'm driving down from Atlanta so it's not too bad of a drive. I own almost all of the flex line and lake country pad variations so I'm really looking...

Re: PPF prep on 3 yr old vehicle

As a force of habit I ALWAYS clay the car prior or polishing and would recommend doing the same. At XPEL we were trained to wipe the surface down with a "xylene based grease and wax remover" prior to...
  9. Re: Flex XFE Owners, What's The Verdict?

I would get a 21mm with a 5" plate and then put a 3" plate on your GG6. Then you can use the 21mm for most things and bump down to a 3" when you need to. I wish I had two 3401s...

  10. Re: 2017 Detail Fest Custom Car Builders Challenge for the Detailer's Cup

Then it's a good thing I own all of them but the XFE7 which I've used before and have a hard time not buying to replace my 15mm BOSS... [emoji23] I'm glad that we will all get to use such quality...
  11. Re: Flex XFE Owners, What's The Verdict?

It depends on your use really... if you do a lot of heavy correction with your long throw you will want a 21 but if you us a rotary the 15s are a lot smoother to polish with. I'm pretty sold on...
  12. Re: 2017 Detail Fest Custom Car Builders Challenge for the Detailer's Cup

So excited to get to work on one of these gorgeous cars! Do we get to pick a team? [emoji12]

    Re: Scangrip with tripod.

I have not used their tripod but I have used the whole Scangrip system and it's worth every penny. Nothing I've ever used takes more impressive before and after pictures and you WILL NOT miss a swirl...
  14. Re: Flex XFE Owners, What's The Verdict?

Having used the flex, rupes and griots boss buffers I will say the flex is my favorite 15mm long throw. I cannot match the correction I get out of my 21mm BOSS with a 5" pad but would love to pick...

Re: Flex XFE 7 vs Rupes 15 Mark II

The lake country thin pro lads work wonderfully on the XFE7 if you're looking for your first test! Having most of the other items in the flex lineup it's been hard to not buy one after the first time...
  17. Re: Thinking of getting some Boss pads.

Using these pads coming from the rupes system makes them seem sling proof... coming from thin pros it's an improvement as well. As long as you spread your product evenly and don't overload your pad I...

Re: Rupes vs. Flex vs Rotary

Im currently using the griots boss long throws (coming from rupes mkII at my previous job) and feel that its pretty similar in power however i can use a 5" backing plate and a washer provided by the...
