  1. Re: Can a foaming waterless wash handle dirtier cars than regular waterless wash?

I used AMMO Frothe from a friend (he loves Larry's products). I didn't have an aerated pump sprayer, so had to borrow his.
I personally wasn't a huge fan of it (being blown away).
    I 'feels' like...
  2. Re: Can a foaming waterless wash handle dirtier cars than regular waterless wash?

    Define "moderately dirty"?

If it were me, if I saw any type of caked on dry dirt, I would try to spray those area with water first and try to loosen it before even attempting to touch it.
    If I...

Re: APC dilution ratio for paint and tires?

True, APCs will dry the clear coat... same with IPAs.
NEVER use full strength APC/Degreasers on paint! :wowwow:
I only do an APC wash for my daily driver 1/yr only to apply a fresh coat and do any...
  4. Best Sheeting/Hydrophilic Paint Wax, Sealant, or Coating ?

    Hi all,

I already have plans to put CQuartz UK 3.0 on my new vehicle in a few days.
I know this lasts a good 2+ years in terms of hydrophobic (beading) and chemical protection.

    However, I've...

    Re: Detailing light

From my experience, just get a headlight / flahshlight with a good spot light (not diffused/filtered); even a good pen light will work.
Nothing crazy strong like those you see online that can burn...

Re: APC dilution ratio for paint and tires?

It depends on the brand of APC you are using.
Most APCs and degreasers are both alkaline base / wheel cleaners are usually PH neutral or acidic.

It basically boils down to the PH of the product...

Re: Carpro UK 3.0 and Gliss 1 Yr Review

Good to hear the combo worked for you. :xyxthumbs:

I'm getting ready to apply CQuartz UK 3.0 on my new car in a few days.
I know everyone says GLISS gives really good water sheeting ability +...
  8. Re: Ultima Waterless wash plus.... How did I ever forget about this product?

UWW was the first Waterless I used.
It was good... smelled like melon soda, which was... okay.

Wolfgang UWW was the second one I got and smells like cherries/fruit punch.
    TBH, I think Wolfgang...
  9. Re: Old newbie here - appreciate your thoughts and advice...

    @restorick

Forgot to add, make sure when doing your cleaning/polish/seal 'system' that you do NOT mix towels (both using & washing).

    For example:
    - I always keep a WHEEL only bucket and towels...
  10. Re: Old newbie here - appreciate your thoughts and advice...

    Welcome to the forums Rick!
I was in your same shoes several years ago and learned quite a lot over the years as an enthusiast detailer for family/friend vehicles.

    I won't list any specific...

Re: Optimum ONR (blue) Updated Formula?

    Bruno,
Do you use that version instead due to wanting nothing between your current wash + your preferred protective LSP (don't want those other rinseless 'gloss enhancers' getting in the way)?...

    Optimum ONR (blue) Updated Formula?

    Hi All,

I've been using Ultima Waterless and Wolfgang Uber (pink) for a few years now.
I know they both have some form of synthetic gloss enhancers.

I've been wanting to try ONR (blue) for a...

Re: Review: Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Rinseless Wash

    Question,
I've read that Silicone in a wash/prep product is disaster for paint prep.
Does this hold true for this product as well that contains SiO2 (silicone dioxide)?

    This is one of the...

    Re: Dark Daily Driver- swirls

    Spikepaga,
    1) I wouldn't wash the car THAT often, especially if you are putting it through an automated car wash.
    2) If you don't wash it every day, at least make sure to clean the bumper/hood/side...
  15. Re: Recommendation for a post wash spray/wax/spritz

    I love Meguiars UQW / D156.

I've read Griot's Spray Wax is "better" when applied to slightly wet during drying process... also streekes less?
  16. Re: Best Product to remove Super Sticky Sticker Residue?

Never used this product... but people rave over Citrol
Supposed to melt away bug guts and decal/sticker adhesive quickly.
You're supposed to wash it off really quick after use as it is not safe for...

    Re: M205 - 1 Step, What Pad?

For LC pads, Compounds are supposed to be used with Yellow/Orange.
For Polishes, supposed to use White/Green.

Black is more for sealants/waxes that offer a little give... possibly a Blue pad for...

Re: How long does it take to wash/dry your car?

Takes me roughly 40 minutes every week to wash my car (2017 Civic Hatchback):

    1) APC scrub tires + WW rims (let them dry)
    2) WW entire body
    3) Spray Way entire body
    4) Clean exterior windows...

Re: Would You WW this Panel?

I say you "can" do a WW method on this... ONLY if you REALLY soak the panels, and maybe every 1/2 wipe you stop and change your edge on your towel.
All about technique in this case.

    Re: Rate my Swirls!!!

I agree, those don't look too bad, except for that 1st photo.
You my need to do 2 passes with UC if the first pass doesn't cut too well.

Do you plan on using a DA, or by hand? (hope you say DA)

  24. McKee's 37 Rinse Free Wash & Wax as a waterless wash?

I'm not sure how I missed this product, but I guess I did.
I know McKee's has the N-914 which is very similar to Meguiar's D114... no wax/sealant/gloss-enhancing properties and is designed primarily...

Re: WG Uber Rinseless Wash questions

Is it possible to use WGURW as an interior detailer?
I do NOT plan on using this on leather... but any plastic / leatherette / vinyl / etc.

If it is safe for exterior plastic...
