  1. Re: Water spots on vehicle coated in June 2017

7 years of tests? Hmmm guess you wasted your time. Cause water spot remover does effect coating properties. How could someone do "7 years of testing" and come to the conclusions it does not?

  3. Re: Water spots on vehicle coated in June 2017

Nope not trying to be funny, you're slightly annoying actually. And not being helpful ? Ok I guess I will shut the #### up them. Go ahead apply a water spot remover to a coating and see what happens...
  4. Re: Water spots on vehicle coated in June 2017

Actually I was going off a very thought out test by another forum member.
So yeah it does remove or at least effect a coatings property.

    What tests have you done?

lol I'm sure " the Guz"...
  5. Re: Water spots on vehicle coated in June 2017

Any water spot remover will remove the coating, or at the very least cause the area to fail.

    Re: Dried Polish Splatter Removal?

I always give the vehicle a gentle wash after a full correction, consider it part of the wipe down process.

Re: Best wax for black car

I can only apply 845 in the fall. I apply it so thin you can hardly see it, and maybe 2 small drops per panel. I apply it with a DA liquified. Meaning I heat the bottle up until it's a liquid and...

Re: Best wax for black car

I've only tried 845 so I cannot truthfully speak on 915. They sure do have the longevity though.

Re: Best wax for black car

In all honesty, you could apply collinite perfectly and the weather could still mess it up. So yeah it is hard to work with. Probably the last wax I would recommend to someone but that's just me.

Re: Best wax for black car

Just keep it swirl free and it won't matter what's on the paint. Most of the LSPs listed look the same anyways so it's not like anyone would tell the difference.

    Re: micro marring after polishing

I can't say enough how well this jescar stuff finishes!
  13. Re: The word holograms means a specific scratch pattern inflicted into paint using a rotary buffer

But if it "looks" just like holograms and requires the same polishing process to be corrected like holograms, well isn't that holograms?

I guess that was my point. Just bringing up this experience...
  14. Re: Anyone try the new Rupes microfiber pads?

I bought 4 for my 15MKII.. I don't detail for a living so I really only tried them out on my own car so far. I'm surprised I still have clear coat left with the amount of new pads I have tried on my...
  15. Re: Anyone try the new Rupes microfiber pads?

I like them better than the old ones that's for sure. They hold up way better and just feel like better quality in the hand. The backing feels stronger too.
  16. Re: Best Wax/Sealant for "Wet Look' for "Pearl White" car?

Just throw the bottle in a bucket of hot water for about 10 minutes and let the wax liquify.
  17. Re: Richy's New Ride!! (Also 1st time using Self Heal Plus)

Re: Leaf Blower for car drying?

No matter how well I dry, using the leaf blower and drying towels I always get water leaking from tail lights and side view mirrors on my GTI. Even if the car sits for a day the next time I take her...
  21. Re: Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant and Black Plastic Moulding "How to Remove"

Mostly all sealants will stain trim! WG, Jetseal, Powerlock etc. those are the most popular.

I fixed up a X5 with horribly stained trim....
  22. Re: Free samples from the AG store - what's going on?

I've never received any free anything from AG. But then again I don't bother to click anything extra to get them. Placed a few big orders this year too.
  23. Re: The word holograms means a specific scratch pattern inflicted into paint using a rotary buffer

I dunno man maybe, but they looked no different than holograms on the hood of this car. Wish I had a photo. Clear coat doesn't know what machine is being used it just knows heat and pad movement.

  25. Re: Best Wax/Sealant for "Wet Look' for "Pearl White" car?

Have you tried switching to ONR wash and wax to maintain the wax look? It leaves behind an amazing wax look that lasts a month or two without any toppers.

As for sealants WG as you mentioned...
