  1. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

I guess it doesn’t specify that but it does say there is a damp side and a dry side. Either way. Interesting that the spray detailer goes right onto the vehicle vs just on the MF. Maybe putting it a...
  2. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

Interesting. So this DOES say that you should mist the vehicle and dampen the MF. this is what I do yet I still get the haze. Weird.
  3. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

    New this season.

  4. Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

McGuire’s 156, EliXir, gtechniq QD and aquawax mostly.

I guess I am going too heavy and for between wash quick cleans I should use a ww
  5. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

True. But it’s used in the same way a QD would be used many here are saying. As a drying aid or to gloss/protect a vehicle right after it’s been cleaned.

    That’s where I’m having trouble. I’m...
  6. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

QD’s clearly have high levels of lubrication. You can feel it with you fingers....That said, when used in a quantity that you’d use a WW it streaks and looks blotchy/hazy. And that’s the issue I...
  7. Re: Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

And then quick detailers you guys are essentially using as drying aids? Or not at all...

I guess I’m confused with what a QD is if it’s not for quickly detailing...

    Great info guys, thanks

Thanks. Can quick detailers be diluted at all? I have billions of those kicking around. Specifically McGuires QD.

  10. Daily ‘clean ups’...Best process & products?

I like to keep my vehicles clean. Duh. That’s why I’m here lol. Unfortunately I live in New England so winter is impossible...But, FINALLY, the nice weather is here.

I clean the cars on the...

    Best ‘dust repelling’ QD?

I am testing/switching between Gtecniq QD, reload, Elixer and MG156.

Used Elixer yesterday and pollen/dust seemed to be attracted to it like a magnet. Not sure if it was just an especially dusty...

    Quick detailer/drying aid cloudiness...

I've noticed that with some QD's I get cloudiness (almost like some areas are darker than others) when I used them. I generally use them as a drying aid after hand wash.

Am I using too much? I...
  15. Re: Glossy (ceramic optimizing/safe) drying aid/quick detailer?

    Ok so polish angel.

What am I dealing with here? For $70 this can’t ‘just’ be a drying aid.

Would I use it AFTER a traditional wash and drying aid to boost shine?
  16. Re: Glossy (ceramic optimizing/safe) drying aid/quick detailer?

    Thanks!
  17. Glossy (ceramic optimizing/safe) drying aid/quick detailer?

I usually use meguirs et al but had wife’s car coated with gteqniq EXO and am not sure what to use. Really going for some layering as well as gloss/pop.

    Thanks!

    Re: Superglue on paint

Got it off. Just applied acetone multiple times with a qtip and finally a microfiber. Microfiber was when it finally started coming up. Used my index finger (in a glove) to help it along.

    Thanks...

    Re: Superglue on paint

So hit it with acetone today and got a little of it off but it’s still there.

Any other ideas? Maybe I need to really soak a rag and let it sit?

I’m just super nervous of screwing up the...

    Superglue on paint

Yep. Got a little spot on my paint. Tried a little goo gone but didn’t really do much.

Just had gtechniq applied and am not sure the best path forward.

    Ideas? Thanks

Re: Drying aid that gives a good 'wet look'?

Ok. Used d156 the other day. Liked it. Good stuff. Used aquawax today and am on on the fence. Seems harder to buff out and noticed a few areas that really needed more buffing after I had gone for a...
